History[]
Astro Bot Rescue Mission[]
Nebulax first appears at the start of Astro Bot Rescue Mission, where he steals the Headset from Astro's ship. This not only causes Astro's friends to be scattered throughout the Galaxy, but also the destruction of the ship which leads Astro to need the Player's help. In order to stop Astro from going after him, Nebulax sends his army of Robot Soldiers after him, lead by his equally tyrannical gang. The rest of the game is spent chasing him down, while saving the other Bots and fighting Nebulax's gang of mechanical beasts until Astro finally confronts him in a final battle between Astro and Nebulax, the latter uses his own version of a PlayStation controller, which he uses to attack Astro and the Player. If Astro evades his attacks long enough, he will try to crush Astro with his controller, which gives him the chance to attack Nebulax's hand. This gives the Player the chance to steal his weaponized controller and attack him with it. Doing this three times leads to the controller being equipped with a Blaster, which Nebulax tries to escape by throwing multiple enemies at the Player and Astro. Doing this long enough leads to the Controller charging Up a Laser which directly hits Nebulax and blasts him away at the other end of the Galaxy. This results in Nebulax's UFO exploding into a massive supernova which seemingly kills Nebulax and sends the headset back to Astro and his ship, the latter of which repairs it.
Despite the lethal appearance of his defeat, Nebulax actually survived the explosion and grew a burning hatred against Astro and his pals.
Astro's Playroom[]
While he doesn't appear in Astro's Playroom, a corrupted version of the PS1 T-Rex tech demo haunts Astro's Spaceship. Upon beating it for the first time, it turns into a robotic version of itself which gives the implication that it's part of Nebulax's gang.
Astro Bot[]
He reappears in Astro Bot. Astro and his friends are traveling trough space in their PS5 Spaceship, where they almost crash into Nebulax's new UFO. Immediately recognizing his nemesis, Nebulax destroys Astro's ship and steals the CPU. Once again, during the search for his friends, Astro also tries to repair his Spaceship for which he requires four different pieces that can only be found on Planets that must be unlocked by five special friends of Astro. These are being hold by Nebulax's gang, which includes two new members, Lady Venomara and Mecha Leon.
Throughout the rest of the game, he appears at the start of each world, tormenting the CPU in many different ways.
At the end of the game, Astro manages to rebuild his ship and goes after Nebulax with all of his friends riding many different objects from the various eras of PlayStation history, while going after Nebulax's whole armada. Upon finding him, Nebulax is ready to fight Astro only to be intimidated by Astro's whole army of bots known as the Play Squadron, which doesn't last long as he takes out the whole Squadron in one swing. He grabs Astro and his Dual Speeder, only to be stopped by the PS5 Spaceship which dashes into him. Turned to his back, Astro sees the trapped CPU and Nebulax decides to fight Astro on the Spaceship. Nebulax reveals a spinning wheel in his UFO that has Astro's powerup pals in it. However, for every powerup, Nebulax is gets a weapon himself. After every hit Nebulax receives, he gets turned upside down, which results in Astro being able to break one of the locks on the CPU. Doing this three times results in the CPU being freed, which blows up the lower Part of Nebulax's UFO. Nebulax seemingly is defeated as he swirls down into space, only to return as the Bots are celebrating. With the CPU being back and the Spaceship fully rebuild, it grows a Blaster, ready to attack. Remembering his past defeat, Nebulax once again tries to evade this by throwing enemies and objects at Astro, including a huge ship. Astro shoots at it which leads to it crashing into Nebulax, turning him around. Astro then shoots into the exposed output of the UFO which overheats it. Nebulax screams in horror as a black hole forms from the explosion which is beginning to suck him in. Holding onto the PS5 spaceship, He decides to take Astro with him and grabs him. The Bots unite and form a bridge to hold onto Astro, but as he sees his friends working together to save him, he decides to sacrifice himself and lets go. Together, Nebulax and Astro get sucked into the black hole, which erupts in a massive explosion. Astro exits the black hole seemingly dead, but gets repaired by his friends afterwards which ruins Nebulax's last ditch effort.
After the credits, Nebulax is shown to be still alive but heavily beat up, providing a lift for his equally injured gang, which argue on his back. They get angry upon noticing the Player, but get hit by a final "THE END" on the screen.
Ending with this, Nebulax may return to exact vengeance on Astro.
