Negative Otoya Kurenai is an alternative version of Otoya Kurenai in Nega's World and a major antagonist from Kamen Rider Decade. His Rider form is Kamen Rider Dark Kiva. In the original version, he is the father of Wataru Kurenai. However, unlike the original version, who is a kind human, Negative Otoya is implied to be a wicked Fangire, being also an equavalance to the 1986 King.
He is portrayed by Kouhei Takeda, who also portrayed the original Otoya Kurenai in Kamen Rider Kiva and Kazumi Sawatari in Kamen Rider Build.
Overview
Being the King in Kiva's A.R. World, Negative Otoya is an evil tyrant who plunged his own world into oppression under the power of his Dark Riders (Orga, Ryuga, Dark Kabuto and Alternative). He also shows racism towards ordinary humans and believes Riders are more superior than humanity.
He wanted Tsukasa Kadoya to stay in the Nega World in order to make him his own successor. To acheive this, Otoya tried to corrupt Tsukasa into abandoning his journey and accepting the nature of his hateful world by giving him the K-Touch, but instead Tsukasa kills the other Dark Riders and defied Otoya's corruption.
Otoya went into hiding while Tsukasa was fighting the other Dark Riders. At the end of the story arc, Otoya remains as the last Dark Rider in Nega World. His further fate is unknown.
Trivia
- Coincidentally, the number of times he and his original counterpart transformed are the same: three.
- While the original Otoya was Wataru's father, Otoya does not exist in the World of Kiva because that world's Wataru had a human mother and Fangire father as opposed to a human father and Fangire mother.
