Bruce Lee from the grave!
~ Lyman's most famous quote.

Neil Lyman is the main antagonist of the 2010 comedy film Furry Vengeance.

He was played by Ken Jeong, who also portrayed Leslie Chow in The Hangover, King Argotron in Role Models, Ben Chang in Community, Mr. Greene in Norm of the North, Sprout Cloverleaf in My Little Pony: A New Generation, and Dr. Yap in Bob's Burgers.

Biography[]

Neil Lyman is a wealthy Korean-American businessman and the CEO of Lyman Enterprises. His agenda is to destroy the animal habitat and even blow up dams in order to claim the land for his business. Overall, he lacks any concern for animals that get in the way of his plans and is willing to harm them if it means satisfying his own goals. He has fired many of his employees such as Riggle, for simply not complying to his insanely strict rules.

At somepoint, Lyman authorizes his long-suffering employee Dan Sanders to oversee the construction of a green housing development in the Oregon woods; Lyman's plan with the development is to further finance his company's success. He also has a lucrative deal with Mr. Gupta, the construction's sponsor, once the event commences sometime later. When it does commence, Lyman's plan seems to be working when Sanders ends up rebelling against him with the animals. They launch an attack at the ceremony that causes all the guests to flee, whilst Lyman's personal assistant Felder is subdued by a group of skunks.

In the ensuing chaos, Lyman manages to get hold of a tranquilizer and attempts to shoot the Racoon who is leading the attack. But Sanders foils the attack by tricking Lyman into accidentally tranquilizing Gupta, who subsequently attempts to break off the deal in response. However, Gupta ends up falling unconscious and Lyman takes the chance to use Gupta's hand into signing the deal.

Before Lyman can escape, however, he is confronted by animals and ends up getting chased through a worm tunnel by them. The tunnel is attached to a golf cart, which the bear drives. The animals begin attacking Lyman as the tunnel is pulled away into the forest. His fate afterwards is unknown, though it's likely he died from the animal attack.

Personality[]

From start to finish of the movie, Neil Lyman proved to be an egomaniacal entrepreneur. He is deeply arrogant and narcissistic to the point where he shows little to zero thoughts for animals. He is also quite bossy and somewhat temperamental when it comes to ordering his employees around and telling them what to do.

Trivia[]

  • In the credits, his name is spelled "Neal Lyman", but on Dan and Riggs' phones his name is spelled "Neil Lyman".
