"Nemesis Omega" is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Brainiac) of Season 1 of the animated superhero television series My Adventures with Superman.
They are a mysterious Kryptonian warlord who had attempted to invade Earth twenty-two years ago on an event known as "Zero Day", only to be stopped in their plans by an unknown explosion. Their attack on the Earth would ultimately inspire the creation of Task Force X to prevent another invasion of Nemesis, as well as General Sam Lane's hatred and suspicions towards Superman.
Years after their defeat, their attempt at conquering Earth would be continued by Brainiac and Kara Zor-El.
Twenty-two years prior to the events of the series, the being known as Nemesis Omega sent a probe to Earth, which arrived on a field in America. The probe would eventually fire a laser that would open a portal for an invasion fleet three days after a military base was established to monitor and study it. Nemesis appeared through the portal and signaled their forces to attack, unleashing an army of OMAC robots to attack the military base. The OMACs easily massacred the soldiers present, with Omega vaporizing many through the use of their heat vision.
They then turned against the only survivors of the attack, Samuel Lane and Amanda Waller, preparing to vaporize them as well. However, before this could be done, Nemesis Omega was distracted and seemingly consumed by a distant explosion, which also closed the portal and halted their invasion.
Legacy[]
Nemesis Omega's attack on Earth would eventually become known as Zero Day, and was seemingly covered up by the government. Convinced that they would one day return, and determined not to let another Zero Day take place, the General founded and began leading Task Force X, a military organization under the supervision of Checkmate and the U.S. government. Task Force X began to collect the technology left behind by Nemesis in order to defend the Earth, including the OMACs, freeze rays, sonic amplifiers, and various other devices, which were sent to the secret government science facility Cadmus to be reverse-engineered.
After Cadmus' scientists began creating altruistic innovations rather than weaponry in case Omega would return, Lane decided to have them eliminated, leaving the Brain and Monsieur Mallah as the only survivors of the division. In the present day, Nemesis Omega's name would be invoked by Slade Wilson as he is interrogating Leslie Willis about what she knows about Task Force X's secrets after stealing its experimental weaponry. Following this, Task Force X would began to suspect that Superman is related to Nemesis in someway and possibly is them, due to their similar abilities and body structure. Because of this belief, they would begun plotting against him, culminating him being captured by a group of villains that he encountered forcibly recruited by Lane and Waller.
In Task Force X's custody, Superman would be interrogated by the General and shown a holographic recreation of the events of Zero Day. Following this, the General would begin to question Superman's guilt upon witnessing his disbelief at Nemesis Omega's actions, suspecting that he might have been too young to partake in Zero Day. Seeing the events of Zero Day and the actions of Nemesis Omega had left Superman demoralized about his true heritage for a time, believing that he is a weapon sent to conquer the Earth as Omega had intended to do; although he would eventually come to accept that he is not the same as them while saving Metropolis from an out-of-control Parasite.
After Superman closed a new portal to Earth that destroyed their ships, the android Brainiac informed a Kryptonian Warrior of Earth and that they are a planet in rebellion, but the latter tells him that they will invade again and that in the end, humanity will kneel.

Trivia[]
Nemesis Omega's identity is currently unknown. Although it is possible that they are, or at least are inspired by, General Zod, a Kryptonian general and one of Superman's greatest enemies who has often attempted to subjugate the Earth for Krypton.
It is unclear if Nemesis Omega's superhuman abilities are natural like Clark's or provided by the technology in their possession.
