Neqros is a minor antagonist in the manga Dragon Quest: The Emblem of Roto. It is a demonic sword that is capable of possessing anyone not well trained, with Serven, a descendant of the Sword King becoming its host.

Appearance[]

Upon first glance, Neqros looked like an ordinary sword. However, when its host is defeated or freed, Neqros would revealed it true form, which is a sword with an eye on its handle and had four legs.

Biography[]

Originally, Neqros was a blade that was controlled by the origin Sword King and was kept in the warehouse of the village of the Sword King. During the birth of Kira, the descendants of the Sword King, Serven, the elder brother of Killa, went to the warehouse and found Neqros. Neqros manipulated Serven into picking itself up and then possessed him, controlling him and killed everyone in the village, with Killa being the only one that survived. Soon, Neqros also wiped out the village of Fist King, but the descendant of Fist King, Yao managed to escape.

Eventually, Servan and a monster lion traced Arus, the descendant of Roto, down in the city of Assarm. After killing a fisherman, Servan went to Assarm and encountered Lunafera. Servan easily defeated and fatally wounded her and later Giran, who had came to assist Lunafera. After Giran's defeat, Arus, Killa, and Yao came to fight Servan after the lion monster was dispatched. Servan was proven to be a powerful foe, overpowering the heroes easily. However, after Giran told Master Hermit Tao about Servan's origin, Tao came to help and temporally freed Servan from Neqros's curse. This allowed the heroes to recover and defeated Servan. Neqros then revealed it true form, and with its quick speed, the heroes were unable to hit it. Despite this, Servan recovered and grabbed Neqros, begging Arus to kill them both. A heavy-hearted Arus then cast Kazap, incinerating both Neqros and Servan in the flames.
