Nergal is the main antagonist of Constantine: City of Demons and a minor antagonist in Constantine: The House of Mystery .
He was voiced by Robin Atkin Downes , who also voiced Electrocutioner and Mad Hatter in Batman: Bad Blood , Emperor Nefarious in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart , Gary in Regular Show , Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , the Medic in Team Fortress 2 , Baron Zemo and Abomination in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes , Abomination and Annihilus in the 2010 Marvel Animated Universe , Lachlan McDermott in Criminal Minds , Luxord in the Kingdom Hearts series, Deathstroke in Beware the Batman , Riddler in Batman: The Enemy Within , Falcon Graves in Ducktales , Mumm-Ra in ThunderCats , Shinnok in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms and Scarecrow in Batman: The Long Halloween .
History [ ] DC Animated Movie Universe [ ] He first crossed paths with Constantine after being summoned by the young magician with the intent to have him kill his mentor Alex Logue. Which Nergal did, but Constantine could not control the demon, who then slaughtered everyone in the building besides Constantine and Chas Chandler. Nergal then dragged the innocent Astra Logue to hell.
Nergal later resurfaced in Los Angeles, where he planned to create hell franchises. He enlisted the help of Constantine to kill rival demons with similar ambitions by holding the soul of Chas's daughter hostage.
Tomorrowverse [ ] Nergal somehow returned along with two other demons whom Constantine sold his soul to as well. He and the other demons were trapped in a ring of light made by Constantine.
