The New California Republic is a nation state appearing in Fallout 2 as a supporting faction, and also makes a reappearance in 2010s Fallout New Vegas, Although the NCR was portrayed as a Heroic Group in Prior games, in New Vegas they are portrayed as Imperialistic Oppressors responsible for many horrific acts, such as the Bitter Springs massacre where soldiers fired on the Great Khans (who are not saints themselves) the NCR brutally slaughtered, Men, Women, Children, The Sick, and The Elderly, and occupies independent areas like New Vegas
while they can be supporting protagonists in Fallout New Vegas, they can also be the Main Antagonists, (if you side with anyone but NCR, Especially Caesars Legion)
