Nezumi

Nezumi is a minor antagonist in the One Piece franchise, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Arlong Park Arc. He is a corrupt, shrewd and morally bankrupt individual, who turned a blind eye to the atrocities committed by Arlong and his crew in exchange for money. He is responsible for making Luffy a wanted criminal.

Personality[]

Nezumi is a despicable person who cares only about wealth and personal power, both of which he was able to amass by being bribed by Arlong. Because of this, he ignored the crimes the Fishmen committed and frequently intimidated the civilians he was sworn to protect, all who suffered extensively under Arlong's cruelty.

However, he was also, a complete coward. At even the slightest dedicated protest and resistance, he would cower away, only to regain his arrogant and power hungry composure once he was safe distance away from his would be attackers.

Powers and Abilities[]

Apart from his rank, (which also brings up the question of how he achieved the rank of an official Marine Officer,) and the authority it gave him over lesser ranks, Nezumi himself had no fighting capabilities whatsoever. The only thing that made him any kind of threat was that he carried a pistol with him that he would not hesitate to use on civilians.

Nezumi's favorite food is cheese, fitting for his appearance and character being based on a rat.
