Nick is a recurring character in the crime drama series Breaking Bad and its prequel series Better Call Saul. He is part of Gus Fring's security team.

He was portrayed by Eric Steinig.

History[]

Better Call Saul[]

Season 4[]

While Gus kills Arturo Colon with Victor's aid, Nick catches Nacho Varga by the collar, forces him to kneel and disarms him.

Nick is next seen standing by the Los Pollos Hermanos Factory Farm when Gus, flanked by Victor and Tyrus Kitt, confronts Mike Ehrmantraut for not alerting him of Nacho's plan to poison Hector Salamanca.

Along with Mike, Nick recruits a Frenchman for the construction of the superlab, but they later recruit German engineer Werner Ziegler, who would be selected for the job instead.

Nick appears with Arthur as they watch Werner's men through the security cameras. Mike tells them to keep an eye on Kai. Later, Nick summons Mike, and along with Arthur confronts Kai, who has been kicked out of the strip club for making unwanted advances toward a dancer and refuses to leave. Mike resolves the problem and has Nick take Kai away.

Nick watches Werner and his men through security cameras again, with Andre. He also notes that Kai is cheating in the crew's volleyball game.

When Mike arranges a manhunt for Werner, who has escaped, he orders Nick and another security member to search the train and bus stations.

Season 5[]

Mike and Nick escort Werner's men by truck to the desert, where they would leave to separate locations to return to Germany.

Season 6[]

Mike, Nick and Tyrus enter Nacho's house. After Mike gives a bundle of money to Nacho's girlfriends and has them leave, Nick uses a large power drill to break into Nacho's safe and along with Victor replaces it with a duplicate. Nick is next seen on the lookout for Lalo Salamanca at the Los Pollos Hermanos Factory Farm and informs Mike it is quiet there, with nothing unusual.

Nick is present when Mike questions Kim Wexler, who tells him that Lalo sent her to kill Gus and is holding Jimmy McGill hostage at her apartment. Later, Nick observes Kim's apartment through a sniper rifle and reports he cannot see clearly what is happening inside, before noticing Jimmy's movement through the blinds. While Nick watches their backs, Mike and the rest of the team enter the home. Nick and Bryan later dispose the bodies of Lalo and Howard Hamlin in the superlab.

Breaking Bad[]

Nick is present with Mike and another security member during a meeting between Gus and Gaff.

While carrying material with Jesse Pinkman to the truck, Nick is suddenly shot in the head by Gaff with a sniper rifle. Jesse and Mike transport his body in a cart to the superlab, where they dissolve it with acid with help from Walter White.
