~ Salvati to Oliver Queen
Nick Salvati was a minor antagonist in Arrow season 1 episode "Muse of Fire". He was the loyal right hand man of mob boss Frank Bertinelli and the one responsible for the murder of Helena Bertinelli's fiancee which caused the young woman to become the vengeful vigilante known as Huntress.
A few years before the start of the series, Salvati shot and killed Michael Staton believing him to be a mole for the FBI, when it was really Michael's fiancee and Frank's daughter, Helena. This act drove Helena to seek vengeance for Michael's death by killing her father's closest associates to cripple his criminal empire.
Confronting Helena and Oliver Queen[]
Nick was present during a meeting between Frank and Oliver Queen which he cut short after receiving a call on his phone about another business matter that his boss needed to attend to. Salvati and Frank meet with Triad leader, Zhishan and his associate China White to question them about the recent deaths of several members of the Bertinelli Crime Family.
Later, Salvati went to Russo's restaurant (one of the Bertinelli's minor businesses), demands the owner pay him more money by threatening him and his wife. The unannounced arrival of the Hood and Helena Bertinelli dressed as the mysterious assailant, force Salvati to retreat. Upon finding Helena's necklace at the restaurant, Salvati deduces that she is the one targeting her father's business and abducts her while visiting Michael's grave, along with Oliver.
At a warehouse, Salvati questions Helena about her motives and reveals he murdered Michael to protect his and Frank's interests. Salvati prepares to execute Helena for her betrayal, but Oliver escapes his restraint and the two kill Salvati and his men.
