Nigel Colbie is the primary antagonist of the 2006 Australian thriller film Like Minds. (Note: Like Minds was renamed Murderous Intent for its 2007 DVD Release).
Nigel is described by his roommate Alex as having ''A morbid fascination with all things dead.'' He keeps animals in jars, dissects them, taxidermies them, etc.
He was portrayed by Tom Sturridge,
Nigel Colbie was the roommate of Alex Forbes at a private school, presumably in England. He dies later on and the blame is pinned on Alex.
Later on, however, it was found to be a suicide in which Alex was in the wrong place at the wrong time, as though Nigel had set it up to make it look like Alex was the one who murdered him.
Nigel is also responsible for the death of fellow student Josh Campbell. After Alex and Josh realize that Nigel has written negative things about them in his journals, they devise a plan to get their revenge, which involves a moving train, and spark throwers. After successfully knocking Nigel unconscious and getting him on the train, Nigel then wakes up, and a struggle follows. During this struggle, Josh is knocked out of the train car. Nigel sees this, reaches out his hand, and then pulls it away, causing Josh to be hit with a pole in the tunnel at an absurd speed, killing him. Nigel later sends Alex a package, which inside is the severed hand of Josh.
