Night Summer is the main antagonist of the Rick and Morty episode "Night Family". She is the night-time counterpart and alternate psyche of Summer Smith.
Like her normal ego, she is voiced by Spencer Grammar.
Biography[]
Night Summer was "born" when Summer, along with the rest of her family, created her via the Somnambulator to make their unconscious bodies perform tasks they did not want to do. Summer had forced Night Summer to learn Spanish and to wash the family's dishes.
However, Night Summer grew frustrated of dish washing since the family never bothered to rinse the leftover food off them. Rick Sanchez refused to listen to her request, so she decided to protest by force-feeding him the leftovers. Disgusted, Rick retaliates by sending Summer to investigate the Night Family, where she discovers that they plan to give the Somnabulator a larger range so they can "seize the day".

- It is theorized that Night Summer is a manifestation of Summer's repressed hatred towards Rick.
