The Nightmare Army is a villainous faction formerly led by the Nightmare King and currently led by the Night Hunter.
History[]
Season 1: Trials of the Dream Chasers[]
The Nightmare creatures were made at somepoint after the Nightmare King found how to extract the imaginations of dreamers. And after the corruption of the Grim Realm, the Grimkeepers were made used to trap dreamers and get them taken back to the Shadowkeep to have their imaginations extracted and continue to grow the army.
During this, the Night Hunter joined forces with the Nightmare King and he was made to lead the Nightmare Army in battle.
After the Nightmare King managed to open a rift into the Waking World, the Nightmare King brought most of the Nightmare creatures over to terrorize the people (mostly children) to help him feed off the fear given off by them. With the Dream Chasers managed to get more light sources, the Nightmare creatures started to being destroyed by the light rays. And with the Nightmare King being tricked back into the Dream World, the Dream Chasers were able to stop him and trapped him inside Z-Blob. Soon after, the dreamers that were trapped in the Shadow Keep were freed making more Grimspawn and increasing the number of the Nightmare Army impossible. With the only remaining members of the Nightmare Army being several Grimspawn, Sneak, Snivel, Susan, and the Night Hunter.
Season 2: Night of the Never Witch[]
At this point, Sneak betrayed the Nightmare Army leaving to go work for the Dream Chasers. With the Nightmare King imprisoned, the Night Hunter becomes the Nightmare Army's new master but the activity of the Nightmare Army drastically decreased with many of the Nightmare Army's members going rogue terrorizing people from different Dream Realms. The Night Hunter was soon forced to work for the Never Witch causing the Nightmare Army to briefly follow the Never Witch's commands.
Later, after the Never Witch decided to attack and doom-dome the Grim Realm, the Nightmare Army briefly teamed up with the Brooklyn Bureau before later getting betrayed by them. They soon after fail to prevent the Never Witch from doom-doming the Grim Realm and the Grim Realm was soon after doom-domed.
