The Nightmare Critters are major antagonists in the fourth chapter of Poppy Playtime.
They are created by Playtime Co. who presumably serve as the antithesis of the Smiling Critters. While the Smiling Critters are described as having positive personality traits, the Nightmare Critters are described as having negative personality traits. The designs of the Nightmare Critters are bolder and darker in theme, a stark contrast to the designs of the Smiling Critters.
Living toy versions of them appear in Chapter 4 being servants of The Doctor with a larger plush version of Baba Chops being the most dangerous.
History[]
They first appear in the labs and prisons when The Doctor summons them alongside the Smiling Critters and Mini Huggies to attack the intruder.
They show up as recurring minions for The Doctor in Chapter 4.
Members[]
- Baba Chops- The leader of the group. A gloomy sheep girl. She also has a larger version which serves as one of Sawyer's pets.
- Icky Licky - A poison frog obsessed with winning with an inferiority complex.
- Rabie Baby- A gossip bat girl.
- Allister Gator- A lazy alligator with the philosophy of good things come to those who wait.
- Simon Smoke- A red dragon who acts as the jerk of the group.
- Poe- A male genderless raven who prefers to stay up and acts emo.
- Touille- A chatty rat who loves garbage.
- Maggie Mako- A female shark who loves to eat unhealthy foods, mainly sweets.
