History[]
Past[]
Long ago, a Dream Keeper named Lunia dream created a dream creature named Migo. From the moment they met, Lunia and Migo formed a bond and became friends. However, due to the responsibilities that came with her role as a Dream Keeper, Lunia often had to leave Migo behind, which left him feeling anxious and afraid of being forgotten. Determined to find a solution to his loneliness, Migo decided to try dreamcrafting a friend for himself using Lunia's Hourglass. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, Migo was unable to create a companion for himself through this method. Frustrated and desperate, he resorted to a drastic measure. Migo began to force Dreamlings to become his friends against their will. With each passing minute, Migo's corruption grew stronger. When Lunia discovered what Migo had done, Migo lashed out at Lunia, attempting to contain her and prevent her from leaving him again. In that moment, Migo's transformation into the Nightmare King was complete.
The Nightmare King had a belief that instilling fear in others would ensure his lasting memory, and thus he embarked on a mission to corrupt the Dream World. His sinister plan involved terrorizing dreamers and stealing their imaginations to bring forth the creation of the Grimspawn. Just as he was on the verge of succeeding in his scheme to corrupt an entire Dream Realm, Lunia, accompanied by the Dream Chasers of New York, emerged to confront and put an end to the Nightmare King's reign of terror. The Nightmare King summoned an army of Night Terrors to engage in a fierce battle against the Dream Chasers. The Nightmare King seemed to have the upper hand, his forces overpowering the valiant efforts of Lunia and her companions. However Lunia used her hourglass and created a brand new Dream Realm, along with its guardian known as the Keeper. The Keeper was specifically designed to serve as a formidable prison for the Nightmare King, ensuring that he would be forever confined within its boundaries. The newly formed Dream Realm appeared as a vast expanse of white void, devoid of any source of power that the Nightmare King could tap into.
For decades, the Dream World had enjoyed a peaceful existence. However, the Nightmare King, desperate to break free from the Keeper, made a tempting offer to one of the Dream Chasers who had fought against him. In exchange for his freedom, the Dream Chaser succumbed to the allure of power and became the Night Hunter, the Nightmare King's second-in-command. With his newfound freedom, the Nightmare King unleashed his malevolent influence, corrupting both the Keeper and its Dream Realm, which is now known as the Grim Realm. Now, the Nightmare King is determined to carry out his nefarious plan of corrupting the entire Dream World. The Nightmare King then set out to carry on with his scheme of corrupting the Dream World.

After the Night Hunter failed the Nightmare King, the Nightmare King states that he fails because he is weak but states everyone has a weakness and he will find the Dream Chasers' weakness. He later has a speech about how he wishes to rule the Dream World, and releases the Nightmare creatures once again.
Assault on the Dream Forge[]

~ The Nightmare King to the Night Hunter |

The Nightmare King quickly ordered his army to attack the Forge only for Mr. Oz and Albert to successfully fend off the Nightmare creatures. With it, the Nightmare King failed and he was upset that the Dream Chasers were defying him.
