Nikki is a reccurring antagonist in the seventh season of The 100. Alongside her husband Hatch, Nikki was once a bank robber, although she was in it more for the chaos than the money unlike her husband. After killing two police officers and several hostages, Nikki and Hatch were arrested and put on the Eligius IV prison ship as part of the worst of the worst. Over a hundred years after the nuclear Apocalypse that devastated the Earth, they would return to their home planet.

In the seventh season, Hatch has taken over leadership of the Eligius Prisoners following the death of Paxton McCreary and the disappearance of Charmaine Diyoza. Vocally unhappy with their situation, Nikki loses her husband while he is helping Raven Reyes fix a nuclear reactor that is on the verge of melting down which drives Nikki into a grief-filled rage. Taking advantage of the situation on Sanctum, Nikki seeks revenge upon Raven, unaware that she has left the planet, eventually allying herself with Sheidheda. After John Murphy reveals the circumstances of her husband's death and Nikki finally confronts Raven, she chooses to abandon her pursuit of revenge and to let Raven live. Subsequently far less antagonistic, Nikki aids Raven in rescuing her friends from the Second Dawn Bunker and leads her people in holding the Disciples off alongside Wonkru. Nikki ultimately achieves Transcendence alongside the rest of the human race aside from Clarke Griffin.

Nikki is portrayed by Alaina Huffman, who also plays Abaddon on Supernatural.

Biography[]

Past[]

Alongside her husband Hatch, Nikki was a bank robber, although she enjoyed the chaos more than getting money. During one robbery gone bad, Nikki killed two cops and she and Hatch then executed their hostages.

Nikki and Hatch were eventually arrested and sent to a mining colony on the Eligius IV prison ship. After being abandoned to die, the prisoners revolted against the crew and returned to the post-Apocalyptic Earth, leading to a war between the two sides that ended with the destruction of the last inhabitable land on Earth and the survivors retreating into space.

Losing Hatch[]

After the defeat of the Primes, the Eligius Prisoners are released from cryo to help build a compound for everyone to live in with the promise that they would receive an equal share of their new home. However, Nikki is deeply unhappy with their living situation in crowded tents, at one point taking Jordan Green hostage before being talked down.

After the nuclear reactor on Sanctum threatens to melt down, Raven Reyes approaches Hatch, Nikki and the prisoners for help with solving the problem. Nikki remains suspicious of Raven who claims that the radiation levels will be safe while Hatch is far more agreeable. Nikki decides not to join Hatch and three others in helping Raven and to remain behind. However, things go badly when the radiation levels prove to be far more severe than expected, resulting in the deaths of Hatch and his men. While talking with John Murphy, Hatch explains to the young man his and Nikki's past and that he intends to finish the job no matter what in order to save the woman that he loves.

After the meltdown is averted, an impatient Nikki visits the machine shop, only to discover that her husband has died. Angered over her loss, Nikki violently assaults a remorseful Raven, threatening to kill her and has to be restrained by Murphy and her own men who drag Nikki away.

Shortly thereafter, Nikki and her men take advantage of Wonkru's fractured state in order to steal their guns. Confronted by Murphy and Indra, Nikki doesn't deny the theft and makes it clear that she intends to seek revenge upon Raven with an ominous threat. Nikki also knows that Murphy and Emori are Nightbloods and were so in no real danger while helping Raven unlike Hatch.

Taking Hostages[]

As Emori organizes a ceremony to reunite the Children of Gabriel with their parents, Nikki approaches Nelson with the offer of an alliance to take over Sanctum. Nelson hesitates until his father attempts to kill him during the ceremony, forcing Nelson to kill him in self-defense. Nikki and the prisoners storm the ceremony and take over with Nelson and the Children of Gabriel joining her. Nikki then stops Nelson from killing Emori until they can use her as a hostage to make demands.

Nikki makes a broadcast demanding the surrender of Murphy, Russell Lightbourne and Raven within twenty minutes or she will start executing hostages starting with Emori. As time winds down, Murphy and Russell, in reality Sheidheda, surrender themselves to Nikki and Nelson who force Murphy, Emori and Sheidheda to reveal the truth about their identities. Enraged by Raven's failure to appear, Nikki prepares to execute Emori, only to have Murphy take credit for using the prisoners to fix the reactor. Murphy attempts to use the memory of Hatch to talk Nikki down since he had given his life to save everyone else's. As Nikki briefly hesitates, Wonkru invades through a hidden tunnel. Outgunned, Nikki surrenders without a fight after a moment and is taken into custody.

Working for Sheiheda[]

After massacring the Faithful following the resolution of the hostage situation, Sheidheda takes over Sanctum and demands that both the Children of Gabriel and the Eligius Prisoners kneel before him. With the other option being death, Nikki accepts, but Nelson and the Children of Gabriel are massacred for refusing to kneel.

The Dark Commander subsequently sends Nikki to follow Indra in the hopes of finding the survivors of his first massacre. Nikki follows Indra to the machine shop and claims to Murphy that Indra said that he could hide her. Immediately seeing through the lie, Murphy confronts Nikki who overpowers him and takes Murphy captive, forcing him to lead her to the survivors hiding inside of the reactor. However, Nikki is knocked unconscious by Emori who saw her through a surveillance camera in the machine shop.

Tied up in the same room that her husband died in, Nikki struggles to break free, only to be confronted by Murphy. Murphy questions if Hatch would've worked for the Dark Commander and guesses that he probably would've, but only pretended to help. Pointing to the patch that he and Hatch had welded in place, Murphy explains that Hatch had known that he was going to die from the radiation but had told Murphy that he was doing it to save Nikki, causing her to calm down somewhat. Murphy threatens to lock her in the core room if she doesn't stop where the radiation that Hatch fought to save her from will eventually kill and render his sacrifice pointless which Murphy doesn't want. With Nikki conceding, Murphy suggests that they raise a toast to Hatch in the tavern once the threat is over and departs while Nikki continues to work to free herself more silently.

Later, as Wonkru tries to break in, Nikki suddenly frees herself and takes Jeremiah hostage, demanding that they open the door. However, Emori knows that Nikki is bluffing as she will die too if they do before the argument inspires Emori to shut down the reactor, killing power to the radiation shield protecting Sanctum and unleashing bugs affected by a Red Sun Eclipse upon their attackers. As Nikki yells threats during the blackout, Luca hits her over the head from behind with a wrench, knocking Nikki unconscious again.

Confronting Raven[]

After the threat is over, Raven spots a problem in the reactor and after fixing it, is confronted by a still-vengeful Nikki armed with a box cutter. Nikki demands that Raven explain herself before killing her and Raven breaks down in tears, admitting that she knew that radiation was leaking and she sent Hatch and his men in anyway before locking them in after the radiation got bad and Raven was afraid that Hatch was as much of a coward as she is. Hatch wasn't and he was brave instead while Raven was a coward who chose to let Hatch and his men die and save herself instead.

Nikki grows more and more emotional during Raven's explanation and Raven begs Nikki to kill her if it will give Nikki peace. After a moment, Nikki decides not to kill Raven and to instead leave Raven to live with what she's done, giving up on her revenge. Leaving Raven crying but unharmed, Nikki emerges from the reactor in tears. Seeing her state, Raven's friends rush to her side to comfort her.

Fighting the Disciples and Transcendence[]

After giving up on her revenge, Nikki loses her antagonistic attitude completely. With her friends stuck in the Second Dawn Bunker on Earth, Raven enlists Nikki and the Eligius Prisoners to rescue them. Nikki travels back to Earth with Raven and several of the prisoners, stating that Hatch would've helped her. Nikki and her men free the trapped Echo and Niylah and help the group reach the Anomaly Stone deeper in the bunker.

With Wonkru traveling to Bardo to hold off the Disciples, Nikki leads the Eligius Prisoners in joining the mission. After Indra kills Sheidheda and Octavia makes a speech to talk both sides down, Nikki is one of the first to follow Indra's example and disarm herself. Humanity having passed the Judge's test, Nikki joins the rest of the human race aside from Clarke in achieving Transcendence.

Trivia[]
