Nilnewz is a male vampire and loyal servant of Medlock who appears in Archie's Weird Mysteries episode "I was a Teenage Vampire".
Nilnewz awaits for Scarlet at an abandoned building, where he tells her she's late and asks if she heard their master's call. The two of them began to dig up their master's grave with shovels. They were later seen draging a coffin out of the hole they dug up. As the coffin begins to open from the inside, Nilnewz claims that their master returns. As they rejoice with their master, Nilnewz reveals their plan is to never make the sun rise again, on the night of Halloween, which Scarlet says it allow vampires to rule the world. Nilnewz, however, asked her is she completed her task of taking care of the chosen one, which Nilnewz pointed out as the only person who can end the Eternal Night. Scarlet tells them she managed to learn the chosen one's identity as Veronica Lodge, but was uncapable of disposing her. Nilnewz begs his master to take care of the chosen one as he tells him Scarlet had her chance.
Nilnewz later appeared at Veronica Lodge's mansion, later that night on her date with Archie, who was running late. As Veronica was applying lipstick in a mirror, Nilnewz appeared behind her, as Veronica wasn't capable of seeing his reflection, and bit her on the neck, transforming her into Vampronica. As Archie arrived at Veronica's house, Nilnewz appeared before him after Archie witnessed Veronica turned into a vampire. Vampronica was about to bite Archie in the neck, but Nilnewz stopped her as he tells her to come. They both transformed into bats and flew away.
Once Nilnewz returned to Medlock, he presented Veronica to him, as a vampire. Medlock took a liking to Vampronica and began to flirt with her, making Scarlet jealous and Nilnewz laugh at her.
Nilnewz was later lead to Archie, Reggie, and Jughead by Scarlet who betrays him. Archie, Reggie, and Jughead unleashed their garlic scented breaths on Nilnewz, turning him into a statue that then crumbled.
