Nimbus (Ninjago)

Nimbus is a minor antagonist in Season 5: Possession of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. He is a strange creature residing in Cloud Kingdom as the former Master Writer Fenwick's pet. When the ninja arrived in Cloud Kingdom to obtain the Sword of Sanctuary, Fenwick locked them with Nimbus, but they were able to escape. Nimbus later tried to grab the ninja once again, but his destiny was rewritten by Nobu and he chased after Fenwick instead.

Biography[]

At some point, Nimbus became the pet of Fenwick, the Master Writer of Cloud Kingdom. When the ninja arrived in Cloud Kingdom to find the Sword of Sanctuary before Morro, Fenwick welcomed them and, secretly working with Morro, took them to the "Master Writer", but instead locked the in a room with Nimbus who attacked the ninja, either wanting to eat them or simply play with them. The ninja eventually managed to tame Nimbus with a giant teddy bear and escaped from the room, but Nimbus followed them. When the ninja tried to go after Morro, who managed to obtain the sword, Nimbus reappeared and tried to reclaim them for himself, as Fenwick watched nerby. However, a monk named Nobu rewrote Fenwick's destiny, making Nimbus chase after him instead.

Trivia[]

Nimbus appears in the could-be-canon novel The Splinter in the Blind Man's Eye as a major antagonist, where it's revealed that he's being controlled by Fenwick writing his destiny. If this is canon it would make him less villainous than his confirmed canon counterpart as he wouldn't be in control of his own actions.
The electricity in his chest suggests he might be robotic or have some form of electricity inside his body.
It's unknown if Nimbus wanted to eat the ninja or just wanted to play.
His room has a video game, a giant teddy bear and a TV among several other things.
