Nina is the main antagonist of the 2006 horror film Cravings, also known as Daddy's Girl. Nina is a patient with Renfield's syndrome, a psychological disturbance characterized by the urge to drink blood, which Nina goes as far as cutting herself to satisfy with her own blood. Deeply struggling psychiatrist Stephen takes her case, with unspeakable consequences.
She's portrayed by Jamie Winestone.
Biography[]
Psychiatrist Stephen, with a wife who used to be his patient dead from suicide, a sick mother in the hospital from a blood disorder, and an addiction to anti-depressants he himself prescribes, takes on the case of Nina, a troubled teenager in the same hospital who cuts herself to drink her blood, where she can't feed on blood from others, in spite of his boss insisting he take time away from his job. Stephen eventually realizes her condition of Renfield's syndrome after ruling out depression as the cause for the cut on her wrist. Nina grows obsessed with Stephen and looks for a route out of the hospital. After drinking blood drawn from a boy who had a transfusion, Nina goes into Stephen's mother's room and kills her to harvest her blood.
Against all medical professionalism he could have, Stephen, broken from his mother's death he doesn't realize is murder, welcomes her into his home for the night. Nina spikes Stephen's tea with Valium, raiding his drug supply while he's out of it and even killing his dog before the poor pet's remains are blended for Nina drinks the dog's blood. Stephen meets Nina's mother and starts a sexual relationship with her, while Nina's violence escalates, from cutting a girl to drink her blood to kissing a man only to bite in his mouth to sip from the wound. When Nina reveals in recorded sessions Stephen is sleeping with her mother, Stephen is left with suspension. As he gives up on helping Nina when she worsens, Stephen tries to overdose in the same bathtub his wife died in, but Nina resuscitates him. her mother appears and helps her kidnap Stephen to hold him prisoner in their house, after Nina murdered a real estate agent and framed Stephen for the crime. While Stephen stays incapacitated, Nina, with the assistance of her mother, possesses him for however long she wants to drink his blood over and over while keeping him alive.
