Biography[]
They are a specialized faction of Ricks trained in stealth, assassination, and traditional Japanese martial arts, the Ninja Ricks operate as a collective rather than individuals. They first appear in a feudal Japan-inspired dimension, ambushing Rick WTM-72 and his Shogun Morty. Unlike most Ricks, who rely on science and technology, the Ninja Ricks combine their intellectual superiority with disciplined combat techniques, making them formidable opponents. Clad in black armor and wielding a mix of katanas, shuriken, and hidden sci-fi enhancements, they are relentless in their mission and operate with hive-mind efficiency.
Though their motivations are never fully explained, it is implied they act under orders potentially from a centralized authority of rogue Ricks or a militarized Citadel faction. They view Shogun Morty as a target, either to capture or eliminate, likely seeing him as a disruption to their larger agenda. Their tactics emphasize overwhelming force through coordinated attacks, often appearing in large numbers to compensate for individual vulnerability.
Their appearance in "Samurai & Shogun" and its sequel suggests that their loyalty is ideological, possibly even cult-like, with no concern for self-preservation. Even when witnessing the slaughter of their comrades by Rick WTM-72, they do not retreat. In the second part, some Ninja Ricks are shown wearing Glorzo parasites, indicating either infection or a deeper alliance with parasitic forces to enhance their combat potential.
