Noah is a major antagonist and the final boss of the 2019 action-adventure game Astral Chain. It is the most powerful Legion and Yoseph Calvert's ultimate creation, created with the purpose of forcing the entire world within itself and become one.
Appearance[]
In its initial form, Noah is a towering purple monstrosity with three heads, four arms, and a barrage of tentacles coming from its back. The center head has six red eyes while the two side heads have only three. It has gray flakes that cover its "ribs" and elbows.
As Noah Prime, it takes the form of a humanoid with flailing tentacle-like hair. Its body is covered in purple muscles and protective armor with lighted gaps in-between. Its face is featureless with the exception of its pink eyes. When it turns into Final Noah Prime, it grows and extra pair of arms and the lighting on its body turns red. The center of its chest is shown torn open, exposing a hollow void inside.
Biography[]
Throughout the game, Yoseph tests on the Legions used by the player and Akira, revealing that he wants to create an ultimate Legion to save the world from the Astral Plane that threatens to absorb everything and turn humanity into Chimeras, which he refers to as Project Noah. However, Yoseph reveals his true intentions of creating a Legion capable of dragging everything into the Astral Plane so he could become a god, using the Ravens, clones of Akira, as a catalyst to create a large Legion core. Yoseph summons Noah by merging himself with the core. Noah is formed, absorbing Akira when they take a blow intended for the player. With Noah fully formed, it targets the player and destroys the headquarters, attacking the multiple levitating rubble with its fists and lasers. Despite their efforts to outrun from it, Noah absorbs the player after they run out of room to escape from.
Inside of Noah, the player is confronted by its core, protected by a barrier. Once the player breaks through the barrier, they are confronted by Akira, the Ravens, and Yoseph, all fused into Noah's dimension. Akira breaks free of Yoseph/Noah's control and strikes Yoseph down, and with the Ravens, they sacrifice themselves to destroy Noah's core. The player awakens on the remnants of the headquarters, with no Astral Plane or Noah around.
However, a piece of Noah still resides in Akira's body, possessing their body and transforms them into Noah Prime. It destroys Hal's droid and attacks the player. Using the power of all of their obtained Legions throughout their journey, the player battles triumphantly against the rampaging Noah. But that was still not enough to destroy it as Noah easily recovers from its wounds and knocks the player aside, seemingly unstoppable. Suddenly, Akira's Legion restraints Noah and allows them to temporarily seize control of their body and orders the player to kill them in order to stop Noah. The player is unable to bring themself to kill their own twin, forcing Akira to hijack the player's Legion and shoot an arrow straight through Akira's heart, killing them and Noah.
Following the destruction of Noah, Chimera attacks decrease drastically and people begin leaving the Ark to start life anew on Earth. Brenda is also able to bring back Akira by transplanting memories into the sole surviving Raven clone based on their Legion.
