The Noir Couple are the secondary antagonists of Welcome to the Game II and the main antagonists of Dead Signal. They are part of the mysterious Noir cult, and serve as the right-hands of Adam.
Biography[]
Clint has been called via anonymous tip by a man named Adam to investigate the victimization of a woman named Amalea, who has been abducted by a snuff filmer (secretly Adam himself). Throughout the way, the Noir couple stalked him repeatedly, by breaking into his own home, and trespassing into his apartment building. If Clint were to approach the man, the woman will beat him to death from behind with a hammer. They are also implied to be the ones responsible for Clint's computer being hacked from time to time. When Clint finally accesses the "Shadow Web", Adam invites Clint to the lobby, where the Noir couple knocks him out, and takes him to the implied headquarters of Noir, set in a New York Skyscraper. Present apart from Adam and the Noir Couple here is Lydia and The Breather (who repeatedly attacked both Lydia and Clint, coincidentally and somewhat ironically). Adam offers to Clint: he either sacrifices his own life to save Amalea, or Clint lives while Amalea is tortured to death on front of many viewers. Dependant on the player's choice, the man will escort Clint out or the woman will kill him.
The Noir couple return in Dead Signal as the primary threat, alongside Lucas Kumiega, hired by Adam to kill Ronald and tamper his researches for the Shade. They work exactly the same way, except that they start counting when Ronald is turning his back on them, telling him to "not look back". They meet up with Ronald at the end of the game, handing him over a phone where Adam is calling, before showing him the profile of Ronald's supposed target (John Rolfe), and then they let him go back to his apartment once Adam's phone call is over.
Appearance[]
The two have an overall similar appearance. They both appear as young adults with brown hair, and have white masks. The woman has lipstick on her mask, in contrast to the man's which is rather basic. The man's hair is short while the woman's hair is put back. They both wear black shirts and pants, as well as white sneakers.
Trivia[]
- Noir can be active in Clint's house at the same time as Lucas Kumiega.
- This could imply that they were the ones who hired Kumiega to kill Clint.
- Noir's masks resemble that of Michael Myers.
