The Noizods are a race of cybernetic aliens who are the primary antagonists of the 2012 3DS game Harmoknight. They are known for creating extremely loud noises, to the point where animals are at risk of going rabid just from hearing it.
History[]
Not much is known about their past. They have been in a slumber inside the Noizoid Meteor, waiting for it to land on Melodia, It's unknown how long they've been waiting.
Early on in the game, the meteor lands on Melodia, emitting loud noises that cause the wildlife to become hostile. The Noizoids emerge from the meteor, causing chaos all around Melodia. The protagonist, Tempo, as well as his allies, soon encounter a bunch of Growlicks, but quickly take care of them, however this ends up alerting Gargan, the Noizoids' leader. Gargan summons the Growlord to take care of the heroes, but Growlord fails. Later in Rock Range, shortly after meeting Tyko and Cymbi, they encounter Buzzooka, a large hornet-like noizoid that's been causing a ruckus. However, Buzzooka is defeated by Tempo and blows up.
Soon, Gargan arrives in Symphony City, the capital of Melodia, and kidnaps Princess Ariana, the ruler of Melodia. Gargan planned on turning her into a noizoid and renaming her "Noize Queen", which would give Gargan immense power, making him unstoppable, and we would be able to successfully take over Melodia, which he intends on renaming to "Nozoidia". Before he flies away, he puts the civilians on a sleeping curse, unable to wake up.
Later in Calypso Beach, a large, ship/shark hybrid Noizoid called the Discordred causing chaos around the area, much to the dismay of Octarina, a dancer who lives on Calypso Beach. The Discordred actually mind controlled some of the local wildlife into being part of its crew. However, the Discordred is eventually beaten by Tempo, with the assistance of a fish named Allegro. The Discordred sinks into the water, never to be seen again.
Shortly after arriving in Sleighbell Slopes, Tempo and the gang encounter a group of Howlicks, which are arctic variants of the Growlicks. They defeat them, but then run into Gargan once more. Gargan reveals that he's been converting Ariana into a Noizoid, and that she's already lost her heart and feeling. Gargan, clearly annoyed by the heroes chasing him, then summons the Winterwulf to take care of them. After it's defeated by Tempo, him and his allies proceed to follow Gargan to Baroque Volcano, where the Noizoid Meteor has landed, and after confronting him, he reveals that Ariana is already half noizoid. Gargan paralyzes Tempo's friends and challenges him to take him on. During the final battle, Tempo defeats Gargan by deflecting one of his projectiles, knocking him into the Noizoid meteor, causing the volcano to erupt, launching Gargan and the Meteor back into space, freeing Ariana from the Noizoid conversion. After that, Melodia is restored and peace returns to the planet once more.

- As he was yelling in pain while being scorched by the magma, it's unknown if Gargan survived the eruption.
