Noppelar is a captain of the Akuma Clan and an antagonist in episode 24 of Akumaizer 3.

He is voiced by Ichiro Nagai, who also voiced Baseball Mask in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger as well as Tsurusen'in in Dragon Ball and Degwin Sodo Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam.

Biography[]

On order of Mezalord, Noppelar and his son Junior took over a village and used the villagers to mine a water vein so it connected with Downworld's water in a plot to flood the surface. However, the villagers welcomed Noppelar's help as their village was suffering a water shortage.

Mitsuhiko and Darunia discovered the village while going for a walk and found Noppelar Jr. playing with some villagers. Noppelar then arrived with his Aguma soldiers to see what was going on and blushed when he saw Darunia, as he had previously written her a love letter while the two were in elementary school. After checking up on his son, Noppelar left with his men to resume their plan.

The Akumaizer 3 later disguised themselves as villagers to infiltrate the village and discover Noppelar's plan. After finding that he just wanted to solve the water shortage the village was experiencing however, the Akumaizer 3 revealed themselves and tried to persuade Noppelar to join them in fighting for good. Noppelar however refused and lashed out at them for insisting he was "good", attacking them with his group of Aguma. The Akumaizer 3 fought them off before fleeing, at which Mezalord teleported in with his bodyguards. Noppelar greeted Mezalord, but Mezalord beat him with his staff for addressing him so cordially and reminded him that he was regimental leader of the Akuma Clan. Mezalord then scolded Noppelar for forgetting their plan and helping the villagers instead, telling him to go forward with the plan's original purpose before teleporting away with his bodyguards.

Noppelar continued with his plan to dig up the water vein, while the Akumaizer 3 decided to help Noppelar by bringing him a water regulator device that would control the flow of water into the village to ensure it did not flood. At the same time Noppelar, was able to motivate the villagers to search for the water vein by offering them a prize of 100,000 yen for whoever found it. He was eventually informed by one of the Aguma in his unit that a group of diggers had discovered the water vein. Another Aguma then told Noppelar that Xavitan had spotted coming near them and believed him to be a threat. Noppelar Jr. then came to his father crying because no one wanted to play with him and caused Noppelar to become confused and distracted. He split his team of Aguma up into two teams to each deal with Xavitan and the water vein, and hoisted his son onto his shoulders to give him a piggyback ride. Xavitan was able to fool the Aguma Noppelar sent after him by disguising himself as Noppelar and sending the Aguma back to where the dig site was, confusing Noppelar and causing him to order them to go back after Xavitan.

While the Akumaizer 3 dealt with Mezalord and his bodyguards, Noppelar and his unit of Aguma received the water regulator device Xavitan had made and went to place it on the water vein they had dug up before it could flood, solving the water shortage in the village. Noppelar and Noppelar Jr. later met with the Akumaizer 3 one more time, informing them that they were going to return to Downworld and bidding the Akumaizer 3 and the villagers farewell before setting off, with Noppelar Jr. vowing to make more friends in Downworld.
