Norcutt is the main antagonist of the 2017 Mexican animated film,Monster Island. He is an evil scientist seeking to evoke becoming a monster. He is the younger brother of Dina and uncle of Lucas. He is also the boss of Durgo and Mungo. He was voiced by Johnny Rose.

In the past, he wore glasses, a blue shirt and black. As a grown scientist, he has a pair of goggles on his head, ears a purple jacket with a gray sweater inside, black pants, purple gloves, and blue shoes. In his monster form has a skeleton heard purple tentacles, purple wings, his torso being red and orange

Background[]

Norcutt was born to Carlotta and an unknown father (presumably human), who was Dina’s brother that was born as a monster while he was a human. During his life as a child, he was an outcast for not having any monster powers. After Dina and Nicolas gave birth to Lucas, they were happy hoping his future while he . In his lab, he experiments on his science in which his sister Dina comes in to comfort him of not having been able to transform as a monster with Norcutt telling her how he’ll be just an outcast while his nephew becomes a monster. Dina comforts him telling him that he’ll love him as who he is and not how he looks as she hugs him. However, Dina informs him he shouldn’t use his experiment liquid reminding him that they are danger but Norcutt tells him and explodes. Waking up Nicolas as he angrily asks Norcutt where Dina was as he informs he she’s inside the lab and he couldn’t help her as he tried to rescue her but gets knocked out by the rocks pummeling. Nicolas angrily asks Norcutt in what happened, he explains he was close to becoming a monster but the experiment went exothermic but forgot to over pour it when she came, she rescued him. Angered, Nicolas tries to kill him for not having done nothing and banishes him to leave the island and never to come. Betrayed and Depressed, he regtrabnky tells his mother how remorseful is he and wanted to become a monster. Which made him into the evil scientists he is today is Sometime before the events of the film, he hired or made two monsters named Durgo and Mongo where he would vow his revenge on his family for their betrayal and sought his plan to become a monster.

Monster Island[]

In the beginning of the film he sent one of his henchmen to retrieve the book in which he gladly impressed. After a lagoon monster gets trapped in a spiderweb, he orders Diego and Mongo to bring him into his while as he threatens to take the monster’s gills off. He was then sent to prison for his crimes while his henchmen are trapped into Mongo’s web in which he ordered them to bring the monster in. While experimenting on him, Durgo asks in which he insults him to send them to the bathroom. He then orders Murgo to bring him another monster which is an assistant of The Mayor in which he tried using him to experiment, however he realized that his machine went off. Having an idea, he and Durgo went to pay a visit to his mother. After the meeting, Carlotta went back to her house where she tries to find Veronica and Lucas (unaware that the two left for a ride) but was encountered by her son and Durgo. Norcutt Veronica and Lucas, where they enter into Norcutt’s home to rescue his grandmother. Meanwhile in his lab, he takes pleasure into mocking her mother including wanting to get back at her for betraying him. Lucas asks him in what happened on the night her mother was killed in which he reveals that he was trying to become a monster but his other was killed in the explosion where Nicolas angrily banished him to the island. He orders his minions to capture Veronica and Lucas although he duo easily escaped. Norcutt holds Veronica against her will but Lucas sprays in his eyes just as Veronica knocks him in the crotch while mainly tells them to get them as Lucas was able to escape while Veronica was captured. Norcutt sends Durgo and Mungo to find Lucas as the latter escaped into the forest and woods from them. He has Veronica and Carlotta sent into their cages. Veronica tells him that Lucas will, Norcutt reveals that he didn’t capture her to have her speak, in which Murgo reveals he took another monster a one eye bat. After draining The one eye bat’s power, he orders Murgo to bring Veronica as Durgo informs him that machine is ready as Norcutt tries to take out all of her power. Lucas comes into his castle to confront him, in which the henchmen duo chase after him. Nicolas comes in time as he knocks out the two. Lucas comes into his lab to rescue his grandmother and the monsters, but Norcutt takes Veronica hostage with him realizing that the monster is his nephew, in which Lucas takes his formula blackmailing him to let Veronica go in which Norcutt easily does as he sends him formula back however it breaks, leaving Norcutt devastated. Angered, he uses the rest of his formula in which he slowly transforms into a monster as he states he’s back on becoming one in which he battles Nicolas outside of his castle. Nicolas demands him to stop his own destruction, but Norcutt continues “wanting to have a talk with him”. Nicolas used a whirlwind which surprised Norcutt to do the same to him knocking out unconscious. Lucas goes up against him punching him in the face. Surprised, he knocks out Lucas plummeting as Nicolas luckily rescues him, but gets in the way, knocking Nicolas unconscious. Lucas notices his father rancorous as he apologizes to him for having abandoned him in an attempt to leave the island. Norcutt taunts him calling him a kid, but Lucas declares that he is not a child but Norcutt angrily retorts not to talk back to him his uncle before knocking him out. Watson gives him his breather which gave Lucas an idea on how to stop him as he charges him just as Norcutt attempted to kill him, in which he used it to put it into his mouth which turned him back into a human plummeting as Lucas rescues him. The monsters and Lucas family follow as Nicolas sobs of his supposed death as Lucas reveals he’s alive, praising him for saving them as his family becomes proud of him. Norcutt having lose his healthy, loses his sanity goes insane thinking he’s still the greatest monster as he gets arrested of his crimes while his henchmen are left stuck into Mongo’s web.
