Norio Akuhara known as Akki is minor antagonist in the 2020 science fiction video game Cyberpunk 2077, being the main antagonist in side quest Cyberpsycho Sighting: Phantom of Night City. He is a former high-ranking member of the Tiger Claws gang following Sota Saito's ideology. After he lost his girlfriend, he developed Cyberpsychosis where he started murdering everyone around him.
Biography[]
Norio, before suffering Cyberpsychosis and joining Tiger Claws, was a Buddhist and followed Sota's ideology. Meditation and fighting style made Norio an unpredictably powerful adversary, making Norio stay with the Tiger Claws gang he wanted to join. During his time as a member of Tiger Claws, Norio studied and judged his gang bosses as they battled against their opponents to prove himself that he was stronger to qualify for the high ranks. Despite his gang affiliation, he felt no affinity to Tiger Claws and only works to increase his financial needs to leave with his girlfriend Julia to leave Night City, although leaving the Night City environment is more difficult. After Norio meditated to work on his zen to improve his understanding of certain situations such as fear to get rid of the problem, Norio noticed that his appearance became stronger and better.
After Sota, whom he supported his ideologies, also killed his girlfriend Julia at the hands of his employers from Tiger Claws. His former comrades said it was a getaway but Norio didn't believe it and he has a mental disorder causing him to have blackouts and an infrequent lack of memory. Norio, having mental problems, went to a doctor with Dr. Colin Thevaniz, who prescribed him drugs that in theory were supposed to alleviate his mental problems, but they were not as effective as the doctor insisted, and Norio's mental state is completely broken.
