Norman Osborn, also known as the Hobgoblin II and Dark Goblin, is one of the main antagonists (alongside Venom) in the 2017 animated TV series Marvel's Spider-Man.

He is the former head and CEO of Oscorp and the headmaster of Osborn Academy. He is the archenemy of Spider-Man.

He was voiced by Josh Keaton.

Appearance[]

Appearance

Norman is a white man with auburn hair and gray eyes. In "Generations", Norman suffered burns to his face and lost his left arm and right leg while trapped in his Oscorp lab and left in the flames of "Hobgoblin Part Two".

Civilian Clothes

Norman is always seen wearing a suit and tie. The only exception was when he was recovering from a temporary spider virus cure made quickly from Peter Parker's blood.

In "Generations", his costume appears to have been burned in the flames in "Hobgoblin Part Two", leaving Norman wearing only a t-shirt and pants (with one of his pant legs partially missing).

As the Hobgoblin

As the Hobgoblin, despite the obvious size difference between him and his son, Norman looks exactly the same as when Harry wore the armor. He used a voice modulator to mimic Harry's voice while disguised as Hobgoblin.

As Dark Goblin

As the Dark Goblin, Norman became a demon-like goblin of enormous size and stature. The symbiote that covered Norman in this form was both green and black. When Norman reveals his human face in this form, his pupils are completely green, with no irises. By injecting himself with Jackal's animal serums, the Dark Goblin symbiote grows animal body parts from the serum (e.g.: rhino horns, spider legs).

Personality[]

At first, Norman Osborn may seem calm and wise in public, encouraging others to become more competitive. But in truth, he is a ruthless and corrupt businessman obsessed with destroying Spider-Man and building his crime empire. Norman is also extremely manipulative and deceitful, as he likes using others for his own gain, even his own son.

This is the first incarnation of Norman Osborn to be the Hobgoblin.
It may be unintentionally but Norman symbolically represents the evil CEO Peter Parker from Edge of Time.
