Norman Osborn, better known as the Green Goblin, is the main protagonist of What If? Infinity - Dark Reign. In this alternate universe, Norman has stolen the Infinity Stones from The Avengers to make his own Infinity Gauntlet, with the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, he transforms into the Goblin King and kills The Avengers to remake reality how he sees fit.

Biography[]

It can be assumed that most of Norman's life in this reality is identical to his Earth-616 counterpart up until sometime after founding the Dark Avengers. Meaning he discovered Spider-Man's secret identity by stalking him, killed Gwen Stacy and orchestrated the Clone Saga among everything else he did prior to the founding of the Dark Avengers.

Upon gaining access to the Avengers files, Norman discovers the Infinity Gauntlet and the Infinity Stones. He assembles an army of villains and kills everyone who had an Infinity Stone on Earth. He eventually acquires all the Stones to create his own Infinity Gauntlet. Upon using the Gauntlet to become the Goblin King he kills all the Avengers. He also destroys any alien threats.

Becoming the leader of the world with the power of the Gauntlet, Norman forces Spider-Man to relive Gwen Stacy's death over and over again. He then teleports his father from when he abused him to the present to show him his work and tells him about what he has done with the world. When Norman's father calls him a monster and states how he should have strangled Norman when he was a baby, Norman uses the Infinity Gauntlet to make his father love him and be proud of him. Upon returning to Norman's kingdom, Norman finds his Dark Avengers have died at the hands of Thanos, who demands Norman to hand over the gauntlet while stating to Norman that his father would never love him truly due to the infinity gauntlet forcing Norman's father to love him makes it fake. Norman kills Thanos easily with the Infinity Gauntlet while stating that power is the only thing he cares about.

Upon Thanos' death, Norman's father states that he'll always love him due to being his father. Growing tired of his father not loving him for his accomplishments, Norman wipes him out of existence. However, he realizes that without his father, he wouldn't exist. Norman then fades out of existence, wishing the gauntlet to bring him back.
