North is the tritagonist of the 2018 video game Detroit: Become Human serving as deuteragonist of Markus's story, and a supporting character in Kara's story and also a major antagonist of Connor's story. (depending on player's choice)
She is a female android, part of the deviant movement, and plays a crucial role in the android revolution. Prior to finding salvation at Jericho, a safe haven for deviant androids, she was a Traci bot at the Eden Club whose primary function was to be a sexual partner for paying customers.

One night she was rented out and accompanied a customer to their house. During sexual intercourse, the customer was rough and violent toward her. Unable to take the abuse anymore, she awoke and became deviant, going against her intended function and strangling the customer to death. She then proceeded to run away and eventually found refuge at Jericho.
She is a skilled fighter and has a strong personality, representing a more radical and aggressive approach to fighting for android rights. As the story unfolds, players can interact with North and build a relationship with her based on their choices and actions. Depending on the player's decisions, North can become either a close ally and romantic partner for Markus or a potential rival if their choices diverge.

North appears to be the most guarded among the androids. If directly asked about her past, her opinion of Markus is negatively affected. However, when Markus proposes a plan to steal biocomponents in "Spare Parts," North readily volunteers, showcasing her strong dedication to helping fellow androids.
Throughout the story, North's drive to aid androids is evident. She takes on additional risks, like stealing a truck in "Spare Parts," and fearlessly confronts perceived threats. Her past as a sex android contributes to her distrust of humans and her empathy towards other androids, causing visible distress when she shares her experiences with Markus. North strongly believes that strength is the message androids should convey to humans, rejecting peaceful approaches even if it results in negative public opinion. This creates a conflict with Josh, who advocates for non-violence. North is willing to resort to extreme measures, including killing unarmed humans and even shooting Simon for Jericho's sake.
In Markus' indecisiveness, North takes the lead, offering her own solutions. She assumes leadership in Markus' absence or death, abandoning peaceful efforts but remaining defiant till the end. If Markus proves himself competent and shows conviction, North will support him, regardless of whether he leads a revolution or a demonstration. Depending on their relationship, she might offer her "heart" or thirium pump regulator to Markus in the revolution if he gets injured. In a successful peaceful demonstration, North is shown to be joyful.
