Nottori Doubler (ノットリダブラー Nottori Daburā, lit. Takeover Doubler) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 39. He is a slug-like Doubler who breaks into and take over the Yamaguchi household as his base in order to hide from Retsu/Gavan and kill him with a heat gun without being spotted once he lowers his guard down as he was bringing the girl to a park and helping her practice walking.
He is voiced by late Toku Nishio. His human form was portrayed by Go Haraguchi.
Biography[]
The Nottori Doubler devised his plan to kill Gavan by breaking into and taking over the Yamaguchi household as his base to hide from him and then shoot and annihilate him with his heat gun without ever being spotted once he let his guard down as he was bringing a young girl named Kumi to the park in order to help her practice walking. While holding the Yamaguchi family (including a baby) hostage, he also threaten them into lying those who arrived at the house to get rid of them. When San Dorva arrived inside the household to ask him for his progresses, the Doubler the proceed to tell him about his plans to annihilate Gavan. After holding a young boy who is another member of the Yamaguchi family named Tsutomu a hostage, he demanded Mrs. Yamaguchi to call for likely a hundred sushis, which he ate them all by himself without sharing some with his men.
Tsutomu snuck up to his room to write a message on notebook paper and tied it up on a baloon to call for help which was later picked up by a policeman and then attempt to escape from the house, but only to get caught red-handed by the Doubler from doing so. Once Retsu and his friends Kojiro and Tsukiko were arrived at the park and brought Kumi to help her practice walking, the Doubler attempt to fire a heat ray at Retsu and then annihilate him, but only for the truck to block his way and take the hit instead, which led to Retsu and his friends noticed what was happening and a truck driver being injured from the explosion. He desperately attempt to kill Retsu, even when he transformed into Gavan.
After they're dragged into Makuu Space, the Doubler attempt to blow up Gavan while fighting before leading the fighters into firing at him, which Gavan had to call upon Dol and Gravion for backup. Finally, Gavan finished the Doubler off with Gavan Dynamic.
