Nozomu Hatori is a supporting antagonist in the manga and anime series Mob Psycho 100.
He is one of the members of Claw’s Ultimate Five, an evil psychic organization which employed espers and planned to take over the world.
He is voiced by Daiki Hamano (who has also voiced Varuna in Record of Ragnarok) in Japanese and by Chris Hackney in English.
Appearance[]
Hatori is a short young man in his mid 20s and the shortest member within the Ultimate 5. He has messy white and grey hair and eyebrows. He wears square-shaped glasses, a grey sweater with a white shirt underneath and black pants.
Personality[]
Hatori is an individual that enjoys manipulating machines with the uses of his psychic powers, such as helicopters and televisions that he basically views as toys for him. He seemed to be quite arrogant, taunting Shou Suzuki before being easily defeated. After Claw was dissolved, he appeared to mellow out considerably, getting a job at computer support in the manga and working for the government in the anime. He still retains loyalty to his former boss, Toichiro Suzuki, wishing his boss good luck before he’s sent to fight ???%.
History[]
He makes his first appearance in the World Domination Arc alongside his boss Toichiro Suzuki and the rest of the organization in their meeting. He was later on ordered to manipulate the networks across the country so Claw could send their message. During the battle outside the Culture Tower, he would mess with news helicopters using his powers, sending them plummeting. He then faced his boss’s son, Sho Suzuki who manages to enter the tower, to which he tries to deal with him with his drones only for him to get defeated with a german suplex technique. During Kageyama’s battle against Toichiro, he appears to defend his allies from any dangers. Upon the organization being disbanded, Hatori now works at as a computer engineer at a tech support company. He was seen struggling with dealing with his customers. During the final ???% Arc, he is now seen driving a helicopter with the rest of the crew consisting of Toichiro Suzuki and four other former members of Claw. He drives to Seasoning City in order to deal with Kageyama who was out of control with his psychic powers. Toichiro and Sho then jump out of the helicopter, as he wishes him luck for his encouter with Mob.
Abilities[]
- Technokinesis/Technology Manipulation: As an esper, Hatori is able to manipulate basically anything technology related, such as changing every television signals, controlling helicopters without showing struggles. When fightings opponents, he uses machines like drones equipped weapons such as rotary blades. He is stated to be among the strongest member of the his organization despite not an esper exactly specialized in combat, which is determined by his psychic aura appearing around him when he uses his power. Nevertheless he stated that he is not sure himself how his power exactly works.
