Chancellor Nuro is the main antagonist of Iyanu (and the graphic novels it is based on, Iyanu: Child of Wonder). He is the evil chanchellor to the throne of Elu, manipulating the Oba to maintain his power.
Biography[]
Nuro was once a boy called Oye, brother to the Agoni Remi, who adopted the name Olori. They were sent as children to infiltrate Elu by The People of the Deep. But while his sister grew up to be a wise woman, he became power mad and consorted with the Fallen One.
Throught the story, he shoots down Uwa's attempts to make life better for those in the outer walls, attempting to keep his power unchecked. He sees Iyanu, the Chosen, as a threat to his power, so he wants her captured and killed.
Personality[]
Nuro is power hungry. Though he once cared for his sister, he has since embraced the influence of the Fallen One alongside his inner lust for power.
Abilities[]
Through the use of the shadow lantern possessing the Fallen One, Nuro has great magical feats like controlling shadows or corrupting humans into his service.
Besides magic, he is an excellent orator and manipulator, making the Oba consider his decisions above all others.
