| ~ Nurse to Elizabeth. |
The Nurse is a supporting antagonist in the 1993 dark comedy film Drop Dead Fred.
She is portrayed by Cheryl Hawker.
Biography[]
When Elizabeth is kept under medical watch due to her "delusions" about her imaginary friend Drop Dead Fred, the Nurse is appointed to keep watch on her and medicate her and allies with Elizabeth's controlling mother Polly Cronin. Despite seemingly being professional, the Nurse displays a darker side when Polly isn't present and makes threats to Elizabeth to behave herself. With the help of Drop Dead Friend and Liz's real friend Mickey, she escapes from her bedroom in order to track down her estranged husband Charles Gretterson.
Liz reunites with Charles and spends time at his apartment later that night. The Nurse and Polly go out searching for Liz and arrive at Charles' apartment, where they gain entrance to his apartment, believing only Liz is hiding there from them. When the Nurse is walking down the darkened corridor, she is mistaken for a random intruder and is knocked out by Charles with a frying pan, much to Polly's horror. The Nurse later left the apartment and Polly joined her when Charles assured Polly he would "take care" of Liz. The nurse wasn't seen again.
