Nurse Claiborne is a supporting antagonist in the cartoon Codename: Kids Next Door, serving as the main antagonist of the episodes "Operation P.I.N.K.E.Y.E." and "Operation H.O.M.E."
She is a villainess whose plots often revolve around strange recipes. She was the former nurse of Gallagher Elementary School that got fired from the position after it had been discovered that she was responsible for an epidemic of pink-eye across the school. She had used bacteria-infected water balloons on students as a means of infecting them to get their pink-eye crust to use as a topping for her apple crumble. After losing her position, she began working as a factory owner of a factor that makes Rainbow Munchies, seemingly a Rainbow Monkeys themed cereal. She gave the factory the facade of a retirement home for Rainbow Monkeys for their former owners to donate, and the stuffed dolls would then serve as the primary ingredients for the cereal.
She was voiced by Jennifer Hale.
Appearance[]
Nurse Claiborne has a cleft in her chin, a fairly big chest, and a stocky build. She has her hair up in a bun with a green hairband, and her lipstick is a pinkish tone. A white medical coat with buttons, roped-up sleeves, and two vertical grey stripes beginning at the point of her lapels make up Nurse Claiborne's outfit. She also sports a pair of medical latex gloves, a pair of brown loafers, a green cloak, and a white nurse's hat with a horizontal green stripe. She was hit with a contaminated water balloon, leaving a pink-eye crust scar on the left side of her face.
Personality[]
Nurse Claiborne appeared to have a very pleasant and loving attitude on the surface, which ultimately proved to be a façade for her ulterior goals. Claiborne, in truth, is a nasty, selfish, opportunistic woman who sees her patients as a way to riches, notoriety, and retribution. Moreover, despite her position as a health care practitioner, she is not beyond serving unwary consumers anything as unclean as human eye-crust.
Trivia[]
- Nurse Claiborne's design can give her nature as the villain away, as a normal nurse never wears a cape at work which made her style no different from all the other adult supervillains who are mostly into costume.
- Nurse Claiborne is considered to be one of the most repulsive villains in the show, with not even the Common Cold wishing to give kids pinkeye just to make money.
