Nurzak is a minor antagonist turned protagonist in Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders. He is the Subterra Brawler of the Twelve Orders, and is also the master of Sabator. He is an attendant of the previous Emperor (Barodius' father). He is the superior of Ren Krawler.
He was voiced by Hidekatsu Shibata in Japanese and Hadley Kay in English.
Personality[]
Nurzak wants what is best for his people, as shown when he invaded Nethia at first. He has been known to serve the royal family and got along with both his former emperor and Barodius at first.
Like the previous Emperor, he fears the Sacred Orb as he viewed its powers to be too dangerous when it brings destruction through the galaxy.
However, Nurzak secretly hates Barodius and disapproves of his rule over Gundalia and sees him as a heartless tyrant who doesn't care about his people (especially his father). As time went, Nurzak feared that Barodius getting the orb would lead Gundalia to ruin, and causing Nurzak to realize that Barodius has gone too far and so he betrayed him and teamed up with the Brawlers to save the future of his home. He also doesn't like punishing other's for their failures, and following Barodius' defeat, he becomes the prime minister of Gundalia.
Despite believing in peace, he is no pushover; he is willing to take the situation into his own hands if he believes that there is no way around it. While he tries to use persuasion and reason before he takes action, like when he tries to persuade Barodius against trying to acquire the Sacred Orb and when he warns Kazarina about Barodius' desires, he does not have infinite patience and will give up on them if he sees that they truly will not change their ways. He has a good relationship with his Guardian Bakugan, Sabator, and has the respect and trust of many other Gundalians, particularly those who survived the Neathian-Gundalian War.
After he became the new Prime Minister of Gundalia, he was respected by his subordinates and even commander Ren Krawler. After Mag Mel was thrown out of Gundalia, He thanks the Battle Brawlers for their help.
Biography[]
Nurzak is first seen telling Gill about Drago and how his and Linehalt's battle effected Gundalia. He is later seen watching the brawlers that Ren Krawler kidnapped, telling Barodius that they are close to getting the element.
Before the Brawlers arrive in Neitha, he lets the Twelve Orders know that the fight will be harder with the Brawlers on the Neathian side. He uses Sabator to battle the Castle Knights. When Sabator was brawling with Cordem ,he was surprised to see Sabator so evenly matched with Coredem and knew this was bad. He was later sent back to Gundalia along with the other Gundalians due to the Sacred Orb's energy.
Later, Nurzak calls out Stoica and Kazarina's treachery and lying, having blamed their failures on Jesse Glenn. He warns them he will not be fooled.
when Mason Brown escapes from the gundaion ship he and Ren go to find him, but run into Fabia Sheen and Marucho Marukura. in the middle of their battle the Sacred Orb sent out a violent dimensional twister and he and Ren were forced to retreat. Later, he and Kazarina decide to leave Emperor Barodius feeling he is a cruel leader.
