Orm, known as Ocean Master, is one of the main antagonists of the Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode "Evil Under the Sea!". He is the envious brother of Aquaman who wants to take over the throne of Atlantis with the assistance of Black Manta.
He was voiced by Wallace Langham, who voiced two other Batman villains, Clayface II in the animated series The Batman and Anarky in Beware the Batman, and portrayed Tom Metcalf in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Biography[]
In the past, Orm wanted the throne of Atlantis so that he can rule the nation for himself. However, his mother chose Arthur to be the king of Atlantis. Since that decision, Orm have been attempting to attack Arthur in order to claim the throne for himself. Batman has also been aware of Orm's evil actions and Aquaman has forgiven his brother. Orm eventually returned to Atlantis after leaving it for some time.
When Batman came to visit Aquaman in Atlantis and was investigating how the sea animals were being used as pawns, the latter was suspicious of Orm. At one point, Batman held Orm down when he thought that he intended to poison him. When Batman was escorted out of Atlantis due to his disruption, Orm meets with Aquaman and reveals himself as the Ocean Master who intends to take the throne from him.
Orm fights Aquaman until Black Manta knocks him out. As Aquaman is tied up and imprisoned and Orm reveals that he is working with Black Manta to amass the power needed to take over Atlantis through force. Orm also attempts to have Batman killed while he is being escorted out of Atlantis, but Batman fights back. Black Manta attacks and betrays Orm and ties him up alongside his brother. Black Manta reveals that he wants to destroy Atlantis than take it over. As Black Manta attempts to fulfill his plans, Aquaman, Orm, and Batman fights against Black Manta and his minions until he is defeated and imprisoned. For his betrayal, Orm was also imprisoned and was mildly annoyed when Aquaman tells him a story while he is imprisoned.
