The Octan Corporation is a fictional corporation which serves as a major antagonist force of multiple LEGO themes, including the overarching antagonists in the 2014 feature film, The LEGO Movie. It was originally an energy company in the Lego City theme, but is later revealed to be Lord Business's crime organisation in the feature film.
Biography[]
The Octan company was most likely founded by Lord Business, as he owned Bricksburg and presumably built it to keep the citizens of the Lego universe in order. Its main functions are providing instruction manuals for how the minifigures should live, as well as other entertainment to keep them occupied (such as Where Are My Pants?, "Everything is Awesome", etc.), and produce petroleum and gasoline for the citizens to run their transport. But secretly, their main goals are capturing the Master Builders to keep as hostage, and finding dangerous relics from other worlds to use as weapons, particularly the "Kragle".
It is unknown what becomes of Octan after the events of the film, as most of its headquarters is destroyed. It is possible that President Business decided to rebuild it as a better company for the benefit of Bricksburg, such as using renewable energy or encouraging creativity.

According to Emmet, Octan also produces music, TV shows, surveillance systems, history books, voting machines, dairy products, and coffee.
