Octavia provided refuge for several other woman in need of guidance, including several other woman that are not from India and taught them the ways of the trade. They at some point entered into a business partnership with Kamal Khan to run a jewel smuggling ring.
Their services were later enlisted by Kamal Khan to help him smuggle jewels for Soviet military leader General Orlov. But unbeknownst to them, Orlov and Kamal Khan were really using them as cover to smuggle a nuclear bomb into the west with plans to detonate it and sacrifice the cult in the process. The cult used their circus to smuggle the bomb until James Bond uncovered the plot and stopped the bomb from exploding just in time. The cult later assisted James in an attack on Kamal Khan's palace in order to get revenge on him for nearly killing them.
