Oda is the president of Oda Trading Company and the secondary antagonist of episode 9 of Robot Detective K.
Biography[]
Oda and his company were hired by Kuronuma, president of Hinode Trading Company, to steal the blueprints for the Mach 8 devised by Dr. Hayama. To assist in this goal, Oda was introduced to BAD by Kuronuma and hired a robot from them to steal the blueprints. After the robot arrived, Oda and his company settled with BAD to split the payment from Kuronuma 50/50, with BAD receiving half of the 500 million yen Kuronuma had payed them.
Disguising itself as a chair the professor ordered, Koshikakeman infiltrated the Hayama residency and stole the blueprints, electrocuting a security guard in the process. When it returned to the Oda Trading Company however, it was discovered that the blueprints were fakes and that Hayama had hidden the real blueprints someplace secret.
Koshikakeman thus kidnapped Hayama and brought him to the Oda Trading Company, where he and Oda interrogated him on where the real blueprints were, electrocuting him when he refused to answer. However, the only things that Hayama said were "Ryoichi... robot" before refusing to speak again. Oda thus concluded that the location of the blueprints must be with the professor's son Ryoichi and sent Koshikakeman to kidnap him. While Koshikakeman distracted K by targeting Ryoichi's teacher, Oda and his assistant kidnapped Ryoichi and brought him to their building.
With Hayama's son in their custody, Oda and Koshikakeman hoped they could finally get the professor to reveal where the blueprints were, but before Hayama could say anything K and the police arrived to rescue them. While K fought and destroyed Koshikakeman, the police arrested Oda and his assistant.
Oda and his assistant were interrogated at the police station, but Oda refused to say anything about who had hired them. His assistant attempted to confess, but was killed by Harisasuman before he could. Harisasuman would later come for Oda in his jail cell, revealing that Kuronuma had payed BAD 250 million yen to cancel their contract with the Oda Trading Company before killing Oda to ensure he would never confess.
