Odin is a major antagonist in the 2023 action role-playing high fantasy video game, Final Fantasy XVI. He is the Warden of Darkness that serves the Kingdom of Waloed and manifested as Barnabas Tharmr's Eikon.
Appearance[]
Odin is depicted as a giant, armored, dark knight, wearing a dark blue cape that drapes over his shoulders, and wields a sharp bladed weapon known as the Zantetsuken. He is always seen riding on a dark six-legged horse with blue eyes, having a dark blue mane and tail.
Personality[]
Much like most of the Eikons, Odin is an amoral individual that primarily follows the actions of his Dominant. As his Dominant, Barnabas Tharmr, is a devoted servant in allegiance with Ultima, Odin likewise acts in accordance to Ultima's desires and wishes.
One thing unique about Odin, however, is his ability to create humanoid beings known as egis, which appear to be fully sentient beings, suggesting that Odin to some degree has some sapience separate from his Dominant.

- Aside from Ifrit, Odin is the only Eikon that has no pre-recorded Dominants prior to Barnabas, making Barnabas his first and only known Dominant. Why this is the case remains unknown.
- The name Odin is derived from the main god of Norse mythology of the same name.
