Odin is the overarching antagonist of Twilight of the Gods. He is the king of Asgard and father of Thor.
Personality[]
Odin is very selfish in motivation and drive, only truly seeking infinite wisdom and knowledge so he can forever control his life and everyone around him. A point made both when he sacrifices his right eye for access to the tree of knowledge, and when sacrifices his ability to see the past to see the future.
He desires control first and foremost, and immediately abolishes anything challenging that control. He's obsessed with the idea of the universe bowing to his whims despite the harm it brings upon others, as he could not care less about the fate of another.
The only care he possibly has is for Thor, as Baldr stated that Odin would never give up his eldest son. However, it could very well be out of pragmaticism and the continuation of his own legacy rather than any actual love.
