The Old Faith are the secondary antagonists of the 2022 roguelike action-adventure game Cult of the Lamb. They are an immense and powerful cult formerly led by the Bishops of the Old Faith and ruling over the Lands of the Old Faith.
Overview[]
The Old Faith was created by the Bishops after the other deities disappeared, establishing itself as the dominant cult in the Lands of the Old Faith.
The Old Faith seems a rather violent cult, sacrificing and having already sacrificed multiple people to the Bishops (usually praying them to stop things such as famine and pestilence) and the members are ready to do anything for their deities, even allowing themselves to be transformed into monsters.
Even after the deaths of the Bishops, the cult keeps operating, with the members being even stronger than before due to the Bishops no longer giving them negative effects.
