~ Olly fatally stabs Jon Snow. |
Olly is a minor antagonist in Game of Thrones. He does not appear in the books.
History
He was originally a farm boy from the Gift, but later joined the Night's Watch after his village was sacked by widlings and his parents murdered in cold blood and cannibalized. When Jon Snow becomes the 998th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Olly becomes his steward, but he later betrays Jon when he participates in the Mutiny at Castle Black alongside Ser Alliser Thorne, Othell Yarwyck, Bowen Marsh, and several other Night's Watch officers, stabbing Jon in the chest.
Olly is later arrested when the wildings arrive Castle Black to protect Jon's body and thrown into the Ice Cells for treason. When Jon is revived by Melisandre, he orders Olly and the 3 leaders of his murder to be hanged, including Olly. When Jon collects the last words from each mutineer, Olly refuses to speak and glares furiously at Jon, giving him one final look of hatred before Jon cuts the trapdoor rope, killing him.
