The Once-Ler’s Family are the overarching antagonists of Illumination’s 3rd full-length animated feature film, The Lorax, based of Dr. Seuss' 1970 book of the same name. They are The Once-Ler’s jerkily family who came to the Truffula Forest to help him with his Thneed.
The Once-ler's Mother was voiced by Nasim Pedrad. The Once-Ler was voiced by Ed Helms. Uncle Ubb was voiced by Stephen Tobolowsky. Aunt Grizelda was voiced by Elmarie Wendell. And Brett and Chet were voiced by Danny Cook.
Biography[]
The Once-Ler’s family were first seen at their home while The Once-Ler was going off to tour with his new invention called the “Thneed”. But a mocking Once-ler's Mother thinks his invention ends up a failure and they all mock him. Once on the third day in the truffula forest, The Once-ler family has arrived from Once-Ler’s success of inventing as they are all gently surprised of the Once-Ler’s success. Once Brett and Chet set up the RV for their working of their upcoming business company. But the Lorax isn’t excited about the family moving in. Eventually Aunt Grizelda mocks him as a giant furry peanut and they attend to face to face each other. Lorax seemingly dislikes the Once-Ler’s family and tells them to get out by truly being aggressive towards them, as they are running low on business, by equipping the leafs from the truffula trees making hard work. But eventually The Once-Ler breaks his promise by only chomping down a few trees as Brett and Chet are chopping down various of trees. In the song how bad can I be, The Once-Ler’s family are rising to power by chopping down all the trees in the forest to make their own thneed factory so they could be rich in town. Until Uncle Ubb axed the last tree making the factory shut down. However, The Once-ler's Mother frames The Once-Ler for making the factory shut down due to his idea of planning this.
it is unknown what happened to the Once-Ler’s family afterwards, as they never reappear nor mentioned throughout the entire film, but it is likely they died at an old age, prior to the film’s events.

- It is rumored by so many fans, that Ted Wiggins is related to The Once-Ler family as there is a rumor that the Once-Ler is Ted’s grandfather.
- Due to The Once-Ler’s old age, The Once-Ler’s family has passed away before the events of the film.
- Despite them as Once-Ler’s family, they never appeared in the book nor tv special.
