~ One expressing her desire to obtain Two's powers. |
One Integer, commonly known as One, is the overarching antagonist of the YouTube animated web series Battle for Dream Island, serving as the main antagonist of the series' fifth season, Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two.
She is an enigmatic Algebralian who likes to make deals with the contestants to further her own goal of getting Two's power for herself.
She was voiced by Michael Huang in X Finds Out His Value, and is currently voiced by Emily Pitcher.
Appearance[]
One is a light blue Algebralian shaped like the number one. Unlike other Algebralians in the series, One lacks arms and only has legs that are a lighter shade of blue than the rest of her body.
Personality[]
One on the surface appears to be a friendly yet mysterious individual, preferring to keep herself hidden from the rest of the contestants unless needing to make a deal with them. While it may seem like she genuinely wants to help the contestants at first, but truly, it's all a ploy so she could achieve her own goals and gain Two's power for herself.
One is shown to be incredibly manipulative and opportunistic, taking advantage of the situation the contestants are in, such as convincing Fanny to take a deal for a new mouth in exchange for owing her a favor down the line. While she will usually follow up on her deals, she is not above changing her mind about certain details, such as deciding to not end the storm she caused in the first place even after Basketball took her deal in exchange for her to fix Robot Flower, showing that she isn't exactly honorable.
Biography[]
X Finds Out His Value[]
One made her first appearance in the non-canon video "X Finds Out His Value" where she, alongside Three, look annoyed at Four, X and Seven dancing due to the middle being able to discover his value.
Battle For Dream Island: The Power of Two[]
One makes her first proper appearance in at the end of "Oubreak At Stake" where she appears out of the crack in the moon and greets the audience.
Throughout "Oneirophobe's Nightmare" and "Out Of The Blue" One can be seen throughout the episodes hiding and stalking the contestants.
In "What's Up Bell's String?", while One also hides throughout the episode, she has a much larger role. She is first seen taking Bomby and Bell to an unknown location while nobody except Basketball notices her. When Two announces a team swap with four teams of six and has the contestants chose the teams, One switches everyone around, leading to the teams, CloudYay, BAGGED, Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again and Team 2 being formed.
She then takes a mouthless Fanny to her room to make a deal with her for a new mouth. She refuses at first, but begrudgingly gives in after One convinces her that going back to get her old mouth from the bottom of the lake would take all day and sends Fanny back. She then teleports inside the moon where Pillow threw a legless Ice Cube and makes a deal with her for new legs, which the latter excepts.
In the credits, One catches Basketball while the latter is following her to figure out what she's up to and takes her to her room.
At the beginning of "Category One", One creates a storm that takes Leafy away from Dreamier Island, the island she and Firey were at, and then creates another storm, which threatens the hotel and the contestants inside, with the storm sending various dangerous creatures like a dragon, various fish monsters, Bugs and a giant David. She also has Basketball trapped on a chair with her powers and tries to convince her to make a deal to fix Robot Flower.
She also appears during the EXITORS debut and changes the title on the board into saying that two people will join the game instead of just one, leading to Liy and Pencil (who wouldn't have originally joined due to placing second) to join The Power of Two. She would also end up kidnapping Needle and Barf Bag and trapping them in a purgatory, only known as the Road of Reconsideration.
She is later seen watching as Tennis Ball and Fanny try to figure out how to fix the damaged Robot Flower and coerces Basketball into going through with her deal by saying that she could bring her back even more deadly and dangerous then before if she doesn't comply within 100 seconds. She also says that she will end up like Bomby and Bell did and then opens up a portal showing the place where she left Needle and Barf Bag and presumably the former two.
Right as the clock is about to reach zero, Basketball agrees to One's deal and the latter restores Robot Flower to how she was before getting Season 1 Flower's data installed inside her. When she prepares to send Basketball back, the latter asks if she will end the storm, to which One replies that, like her, she can change her mind too, deciding to continue the storm and further endanger the contestants before she sends Basketball back to her team.
In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", While Two is flying over to the volcano to place one of the flags, One can be seen on the mountains in the distance watching over the action. She later briefly appears as a drawing of the number one on the refrigerator in the hotel's kitchen looking over at Gaty, presumably looking to make her her next victim.
Trivia[]
- It's implied that the legs and mouth One gave Ice Cube and Fanny were taken from Bomby and Bell respectively.
- While not confirmed, it's possible that One wants to free Three from they're imprisonment inside of Four, given that she says she is here to "help out one of Two's friends" and her goal of getting Two's power could be related to this as well.
- While not confirmed, it's possible she also abducted Leafy, as Firey was unable to find her after One's storm hit their island.
