Biography[]

Origins[]

One and the other Intoners came to be when Zero attempted to kill herself by destroying the Flower possessing her, each obtaining a fragment of Zero's powers. They took the forms of five girls that Zero shared her prison cell with. Starting off amoral, the fragments grew personalities of their own. After overthrowing the tyrannical lords of Midgard, the Intoners divided the land among each other. One took over the land's capital, Cathedral City. Zero then plotted to put an end to the Intoners to destroy the Flower for good.

DLC[]

One took notice that while the other Intoners had disciples, she did not for her magic was strong enough to withstand the Flower's powers. Unsure about what she desired, One decided to create her own disciple by using one of her ribs in a form almost identical to herself, thus creating her "twin" brother. Testing his powers, One and her brother depart to fight off the remnant soldiers of the lords. While he questions the morality of their actions, One's brother agrees to help her.

In the forest, the duo are attacked by the mysterious visions that conduct their thoughts into being, including a false Zero. After defeating it, the two celebrate their victory before falling asleep leaning into Gabriella while holding hands.

Prologue[]

In the year 999, One invites her sisters to the Cathedral City. This was a ploy so One could lure in Zero, who arrives on March 3rd with help from her dragon companion Michael. After besting One's soldiers, Zero makes her way to One's cathedral, where the Intoners were waiting for her. After battling the Intoners, One summons Gabriel, who overwhelms Zero and blasts off her arm. One orders Gabriel to finish Zero and he charges another blast. Michael arrives and Zero orders him to fire at One. However, the Intoners block Michael's blast with their song just as Gabriel finishes charging. Michael blocks the attack at the cost of his life and Zero is forced to retreat. After Zero flees, One tells the other Intoners it was time to sing the world's end.

Branch A[]

A year later, Zero recovers from her wounds and sets out to kill her sisters once more.

After finishing off all other Intoners, Zero returns to the Cathedral City to confront One, who summons Gabriel once more. Gabriel proves too powerful and overwhelms Michael's reincarnated form, Mikhail. Mortally wounded, Mikhail uses his last wish to ensure Zero's success before dying, ignoring Zero's orders to instead reincarnate once more. Powered up by Mikhail's wish, Zero defeats Gabriel and finishes off One. However, with her back turned, One's brother stabs Zero, killing her. He then swears to make a religion in honor of his sister's name before departing.

Branch B[]

One was lured into the Land of Forests by Three with intention of killing her. However, Two kills One instead, impaling her corpse on a tall pole.

Branch C[]

Zero finds One in the underground lair of the Cathedral City. One reveals to Zero that she knew of her plan to kill the Intoners and then have a dragon kill her to destroy the Flower. She then summons Abdiel. Mikhail defeats them, but Abdiel fuses their cores to create a portal that Gabriel comes out of. Mikhail fires a blast that destroys Gabriel, but Gabriel's blast tears off Mikhail's wing and he dies of blood loss. Enraged, both One and Zero clash at each other, ending with Zero fatally stabbing One. As she dies, One mocks Zero that she will never be able to find another dragon.

Branch D[]

After Mikhail defeats Gabriel, One jumps from his body and battles Zero on the outskirts of the Cathedral City. One reveals to Zero that the world didn't need Intoners and explains that if they die, they could save the world. Zero defeats One, but One holds her back with her song. Octa sacrifices his human form to summon Armisael to restrain One, but she holds them back by covering her body in a magic barrier. Just then, Accord appears and knocks away the barrier with her luggage before strangling One, weakening her song's effect. Now free from her restraints, Zero understands Accord's sacrifice and stabs through her to jab One in the head with her sword.

During the Final Song, the Flower takes the form of One and the other Intoners as giant statues. After neutralizing its power, Mikhail seals the Flower within another world, with the statues crumbling to pieces.

Appearance[]

One has short blonde hair and red eyes, with a small "I" on her forehead. She wears a white dress with a small fur coat tied around her neck, ending with two small black balls. Additionally, she wears silver gauntlets with black gloves at the end and silver cuisses on her legs.

Her weapon of choice is a black circular chakram with sharp edges.

Personality[]

As the oldest and wisest of Zero's fragments, One is the most confident in her plans of retaining peace and balance in the world. She carries respect for her soldiers and sisters who see her as a valiant leader and follow her actions. In a way, One carries a gash of arrogance due to her seeing herself as the smartest and most sane of them all, even creating a disciple that takes a near representation of herself for she knew nothing more powerful than herself and refused to use another for a weapon other than herself.

Additionally, alongside her vast intelligence, One is the only Intoner aware of the Flower's existence and Zero's true plan. For this, she refers to Zero as a traitor of the Intoners and sends her army after her.

Daemons[]

Gabriel[]

DG3 Gabriel
Come to me, Gabriel!

Gabriel is a large black dragon and One's familiar. Originally, he was a female dragon named Gabriella who befriended One after she saved her from a giant sea monster and formed a pact with her, changing her appearance and gender when she became her Daemon. Gabriel is very close to One and will follow every order she gives him.

Abdiel[]

DG3 Abdiel
Abdiel, sing for me!

Abdiel is a trio of golems with glowing red spots protruding from their faces, a symbol on their chest, and their disembodied limbs. The three share a magic core that rotates between them, serving as their weakspot.

Trivia[]

  • With the exception of Branch B, One is the last Intoner to be fought and slain by Zero.
  • One is the only Intoner present in all four branches besides Zero, albeit posthumously in Branch B.
  • One is the only Intoner who does not get possessed by the Flower.
  • One is the only Intoner who could summon a dragon Angel without losing her sanity.
