~ Or-Gaule

Or-Gaule, also known by their real name Orleus-Gaule, is an antagonist from Chivalry of a Failed Knight. They were formerly an assassin for Rebellion before he betrayed them. He is also the master/creator of Reisen Hiraga and the ruler of Cradleland until his defeat.

Appearance[]

Or-Gaule has a youthful appearance, with heterochromatic eyes, blond hair, and sharp teeth. He mainly wears a black hooded coat.

Personality[]

Or-Gaule is a cruel and playful person, who enjoys the suffering of others like it was entertainment similar to movies, this is most seen as he forced Johann to sexually assault Enalis' dead body watching as the latter cried and begged for forgiveness. He has shown to only care about his objectives, going against the orders of a group as might as Rebellion. Or-Gaule is also very prideful of his own power as a Desperado.

However, in truth Or-Gaule is extremely cowardly by nature and when he finds himself in severe danger, he will start to run away or beg for mercy. He also believes that everyone is making him the bad guy and enjoy trying to hurt him. In his final moment, he starts feeling regret and cries, feeling terrible when being told his sister loved him.

History[]

Or-Gaule grew up in a small village in France. Through unknown means, he managed to reach his Awakening and become a Desperado by the age of 10. On his tenth birthday, Or-Gaule trapped all of the residents of the village in a chapel, taking control of them with his Blazer abilities. Or-Gaule killed all of the residents, except for his sister, Iris-Gaule, who he controlled to kill many of the people. The government eventually broke into the chapel, but Or-Gaule managed to escape, using Iris to stall the police. This incident became known as La Croix Sanglant. At some point after this, Or-Gaule was brought into Rebellion by Wallenstein.

Or-Gaule controlled the Akatsuki Leader, Reisen Hiraga, as his puppet. When Stella Vermillion destroyed Hiraga, she attracted Or-Gaule's interest leading to him rebelling against Rebellion.

Powers and Abilities[]

Desperado: Or-Gaule is a Desperado, a person that has broken the chains of fate. He has an incredible amount of mana, even greater than Stella's original amount of mana. As a Desperado, he's capable of forcing the fate of what he desires to happen upon other people. Just by releasing a very strong bloodlust, he can cause immediate death on other people or at least immobilize them, depending on how strong the others can resist the fate of death he's forcing upon them.

Doll Manipulation: His ability as a Blazer, Or-Gaule can manipulate the concept of "Dolls", which lets him utilize all manner of natural materials in order to create dolls, which for combat. He can also use his power through his own dolls from even a great distance from his actual location as shown with Reisen Hiraga who had participated in the Seven Stars Sword Art Festival for Akatsuki Academy. This isn't much of a combat-oriented power but can be used in more indirect ways.

Great Speed: Or-Gaule has shown being quite fast, being able to dodge multiple slashes from Ascarid. He uses his strings to improve his maneuverability.

Great Endurance: Or-Gaule is capable of withstanding a large amount of damage and keep on fighting, like in his battle against Asacrid.

Puppets: Or-Gaule is mentioned having one thousand, seven hundred and sixty-two mechanical puppets, which he can control from anywhere.

  • Reisen Hiraga: Hiraga was one of the puppets of Or-Gaule. He used it to become a part of Akatsuki and enter the Seven Stars Sword Art Festival. It was destroyed by Stella Vermillion.
  • Deus Ex Machina: One of Or-Gaule's dolls, and presumably his strongest one. It is gigantic and wielded a whip.
  • Copy Puppets: He has a number of puppets, which resemble the victims of the La Croix Sanglant incident. One of these copies is Iris Ascarid in her childhood. All of them were destroyed by Ascarid.

Equipment[]

Black Widow (地獄蜘蛛の糸, Hell-Spider's Silk): Or-Gaule's Device takes the form of multiple threads. They are sharp enough to cut through people and can be used to launch large objects like arrows. These threads can also be used for communication.

  • Marionette: Or-Gaule can use his threads to control other people. He was even able to control hundreds of people simultaneously. He was also capable of controlling other Blazers and bring out their full power.
  • Grand Guignol: A Noble Art, in which Or-Gaule uses his threads in order to cut all his opponents into dozens of pieces. It was dangerous enough to force Ikki Kurogane to use his Ittou Rasetsu in order to defend against it.
  • Spider's Nest: Or-Gaule surrounds himself with an invisible armor, made of threads. It is strong enough to repel bullets and explosions.
  • Dance Macabre: His Strongest Noble Arts, which activates after his death. This forces back all the pieces of his torn body together and is able to replace them using all the nearby rubble or other materials. Dance Macabre makes him far more powerful as well as his Noble Arts, as he was able to overpower Stella using Dragon Spirit and almost choked her using his threads. Because Or-Gaule is just a dead body he can't be killed by the average method and the only way to kill him is to burn him.
  • Le Grand Guignol (虐殺遊び, Massacre Play): Or-Gaule most powerful offensive Noble Art, which uses all of the threads making it far more powerful than Grand Guignol and it would have killed everyone in Lucier if it were to be released.
