Orang Minyak (translated to "Oily Man") is a Malaysian entity from Malaysian urban legends that terrorizes Malaysian villages by attacking and raping unmarried, virgin girls in their sleep. Due to a deal made between him and the devil, his skin is pitch-black, has glowing red eyes and oily skin. Despite being an urban legend, alleged sightings continue to this very day.
Appearance[]
The Oily Man appears to be in peak physical condition however he has a bald head, pitch-black skin and an extremely oily skin. According to the legend, his black skin helps him lurk in the darkness as well as trespass houses and certain areas in Malaysian villages undetected. His slippery oily skin also helps him evade those who seek to catch and/or kill him.
Weaknesses[]
Despite being immortal due to the deal he made with the devil, he can still be avoided, wounded and even killed.
- Sweaty male clothing - To avoid him, young girls would borrow sweaty male clothing from family members and wear them in their sleep. This would confuse the oily man into thinking that his victim is a male and hence, not attacking.
- Rain - The oily man is afraid of rain as it washes his oil away.
- Mirrors - He is also afraid of mirrors, possibly to avoid reminding himself of his curse.
- Banana petals and Bera Taro leaves - If these are sprinkled around the girl's bedroom, the oily man would be trapped and vulnerable to attacks from villagers.
- Batik cloth - Batik cloth is a traditional Malaysian cloth which can be used to weaken the oily man if thrown at him. He will die if he thumbs are bitten afterwards.
- Petai branch - The branch of the petai leaves to the heart can kill him.
Personality[]
The Oily Man has no moral values whatsoever and is inhumane, he doesn't seem to care about the psychological trauma inflicted upon his victims after raping them. However, he is not a complete sadist as his intentions seems to stem from necessity due to the curse but regardless, he still derives pleasure from the rapes he commited. He is also at times a coward who would flee and/or cower in fear whenever outsmarted and confronted. The Oily Man is also an obvious sexual deviant as he would sometimes watch his victims undress and shower before striking them in their sleep.
Biography[]

Once she is asleep in her bed, he silently makes his way into the house and into her bedroom and briefly watches as she sleep. Sensing danger, she wakes up to see him staring at her with pitch black, oily skin and glowing red eyes. Paralysed, she helplessly watches as he climbs atop of her and rapes her.
