Orcus, otherwise known as the Demon Prince of Undeath is one of the main villains in the popular roleplaying game franchise, Dungeons & Dragons. He is a demon lord who wants nothing more than to be the most powerful being in existence and destroy all life.
Biography[]
Orcus was once an evil human mage who worshipped a dark entity. His soul was sent to the Abyss after he died, spawning as a larva fiend. But as time went on, he became upgraded into becoming more powerful types of demons. It took thousands of years before he finally became a Demon Lord. Despite having an official title as The Demon Prince of Undeath, he was not satisfied. He heard of Demogorgon's title as the Prince of Demons, and he wanted it. He became bitter enemies with Demogorgon because of it. And since The Dark Prince Graz'zt also wanted it, Orcus saw him as competition and held Graz'zt as one of his most hated foes too.
Appearance[]
Orcus takes the form of a huge bloated fiend with rotting flesh, leathery wings, a ram's skull for a head, and goat legs. He wields the titular Wand of Orcus, which is made from the bones and skull of an adventurer he killed.
Personality[]
Orcus is as terrible as demons come. If not, more so. He wants all life in the multiverse to be quenched and turned into evil undead servants to live under his rule for eternity. Although he is relatively sadistic, he finds creating undead much more enjoyable than other's suffering. Orcus is also greedy for power. He wants to become the prince of demons and is willing to slay Demogorgon to get that title.
