The Orgosentries are minor antagonists in the 2023 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the third and final installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. They are the elite security force of the Orgoscope, the headquarters of Orgocorp. Orgosentries are comprised of aliens of many different species, some being externally identical to humans, but all Orgosentries wear identical artificially-grown biotech suits, which are equipped with hover tech and energy blasters on their forearms. Additionally, when fully sealed, the suits can allow Orgosentries to survive in space.
Aside from Karja, most Orgosentries were uncredited. However, the Orgosentry who was made to act like a cat was portrayed by Max Bickelhaup, the Orgosentry who was sent into a violent rage was portrayed by Renae Moneymaker, and the "moron" Orgosentry was portrayed by Kyle Mclean.
History[]
Past[]
Over 300 years ago, an enigmatic alien geneticist known as the High Evolutionary founded OrgoCorp, an intergalactic bioengineering company, to be the public front of his unethical experimentations to create the "ideal" species. OrgoCorp's headquarters was the Orgoscope, a space station grown from artificial flesh, making it akin to a giant organism, and the Orgosentries were founded to be the station's elite security team.
At some point before 2026, an Orgosentry named Karja was the chief of the Orgosentries, although he answered to Kwol, an administrator aboard the station. Karja would repeatedly berate and belittle his fellow Orogsentries, especially one who he thought was a moron, but he was proud of another one. Additionally, Orgosentry retirement plans were funded by the Sovereign.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3[]
In 2026, in order to save the life of Rocket, the Guardians of the Galaxy, consisting of Peter Quill, Mantis, Drax, Nebula, and Groot, joined by a time-displaced Gamora, set off for the Orgoscope to infiltrate it and get the codes needed to disable a killswitch in Rocket's body that was preventing them from operating on him.
Aboard the Orgoscope, the Orgosentries were going about their duties both in and out of the station. The Guardians were able to slip in unnoticed, but set off an anomaly alert in the room they entered. Karja and a group of Orgosentries burst into the room to investigate, but the Guardians had already disguised themselves as maintenance workers, and were able to think up a cover story to get past the Orogsentries, allowing them to move freely through the station. However, Mantis and Drax were then recognized by other security personnel after the High Evolutionary put out an alert for them, and the Orgosentries rallied to apprehend them.
As Quill, Nebula, and Gamora took an OrgoCorp manager hostage to retrieve the disabling code, Orgosentries surrounded Mantis and Drax, with Karja at the lead, ordering the pair to freeze. In response, Mantis spin kicked Karja, knocking him away as she and Drax began fighting the Orgosentries. Drax managed to throw several Orgosentries around with his brute strength, while Mantis got ahold of one Orgosentry and used her empathic abilities to make him think he was a cat, causing the Orgosentry to start meowing and acting like an animal. Mantis then grabbed a female Orgosentry and instilled thoughts of violent rage in her, making the Orgosentry scream and fire her suit's weapons wildly, blasting several other Orgosentries. However, Karja then recovered and picked up a large energy cannon, blasting Drax twice and critically wounding him. Mantis tried to come to Drax' aid, but the two were quickly surrounded by more Orgosentries.
As Karja moved in to apprehend them, Quill, Gamora, and Nebula, still in possession of the manager, Ura, were in a firefight with other security personnel. Quill then convinced Ura to connect him to the Orgosentry suit network, under the pretense of wanting to talk to the Orgosentries and convince them to stand down, despite Gamora insisting that the Orgosentries were corporate shills who'd never listen. However, once in control of the Orgosentry suits, Quill activated all their hover functions, making the Orgosentries get sent flying wildly all across the station, colliding with each other or obstacles, which allowed Groot to get the Guardians' ship into the station. As the Guardians took off in the ship, several Orgosentries chased them into space and fired at the ship, but were unable to bring it down, allowing the Guardians to escape.
Afterwards, Sovereign High Priestess Ayesha and Adam Warlock visited the Orgoscope after capturing a Ravager who had helped the Guardians infiltrate the station. Karja was present while the Ravager was restrained and interrogated by Ayesha, thanking Ayesha for funding Orgosentry retirement plans, but the Ravager refused to talk. Ayesha ordered Adam Warlock to show the Ravager that they meant business, but rather than intimidate the Ravager into talking, Adam stupidly incinerated the Ravager on the spot with his powers, much to Ayesha's anger. Karja, thinking that he and Ayesha had something in common, namely an idiotic underling, tried to console Ayesha by stating he dealt with a similar problem.
After the High Evolutionary was defeated, Orgocorp presumably dissolved, and what became of the Orgosentries is unknown. It is possible that they retired using the funds from Ayesha.
